Carbon: 3708

As a major fan of Mission Escape Games and their design philosophy, I think Carbon: 3708 is their absolute best game! The game design leaned heavily into analytical solves - everything was presented plainly in a way that eliminated confusion on what to do, just not how to do it. Mixed in were several more fantastical moments, including an incredibly fun physical activity and a transition that just has to be experienced to be believed! Strong puzzle games are increasingly rare (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing), so to encounter a gem like this game is incredible!

Honestly this one was actually pretty difficult! I didn’t like how the set felt kinda boring at 1 room and a small room, but the puzzles were pretty high tech so that was cool

Really cool puzzles and smooth gameplay. I enjoyed the nonlinear aspect since we had a large group of 10. With a bigger group we got out with only 1 hint and 15 min to spare, so would probably say 7.5-8/10 difficulty

Excellent gameplay. Surprisingly difficult room. All the tech worked perfectly and seamlessly. I was impressed by the amount of thought and effort put into this room. Highly recommended, and possibly the best escape room in NYC.

This room was excellent! Escaped with 2:55 left. It gave us that adrenaline rush at the end. We did it with two people. Could have used another one or two people just from the sheer number of puzzles, but it was honestly fabulous! Robin our game master was very nice. It could use a coat of paint, but that didn’t take away from the game play. Recommend! And we’ll be back for another room!

Very challenging puzzles, well designed room with special effects and props, lots of codes to break and friendly staff. Would return again.

My favorite room at Mission Escape. The soundtrack, the story telling, lights and effects and the sheer amount of puzzles make this room worth every dollar you spend here. Ideally you would tackle this room with at least 3 people but me and my wife finished this with under a minute to spare. As a futurist, this one definitely scratched my high tech itch.

if you’re looking for a game with little logical deduction but lots of object manipulation, you would enjoy this. although, that kind of game is not personally my style, and i’m a little shocked it was a TERPECA nominee.
