In Magic Mirrors, you step into a magical world where you must help a powerful wizard restore a broken amulet. The amulet once possessed great powers, but it was split in two during a conflict between two wizards. Now it is up to you to find the missing piece and put the amulet back together. The setting is well designed, and the things you encounter in the room fit very well with the overall theme. The props are well made and feel like a natural part of the room rather than simply being laminated pieces of paper or other items that could have been placed anywhere. One small detail we did notice, however, was that some of the books were screwed shut, which was a little unfortunate as it slightly broke the illusion. The room is fairly linear, but there are still plenty of things to look at and interact with throughout the game. You therefore still have a sense of always having something to do, even though the puzzles need to be solved in a specific order. From a puzzle perspective, Magic Mirrors is a fourth-generation room, with traditional locks almost completely absent. Instead, the room focuses on more technical and magical mechanisms, which fit the theme very well and provide a different experience from a classic escape room filled with padlocks and codes. The ending, where you put the amulet back together, is nicely designed and works well as the conclusion to the game. It gives you a satisfying feeling that you have actually completed the mission you were sent in to accomplish. We did feel that the introductory video could have been left out. The game master had already given us an introduction to the room, so the video felt a little unnecessary in terms of the overall experience. In terms of space, 3–4 players can comfortably fit in the room, but we would recommend 2–3 players. There is quite a lot to investigate, but considering both the available space and the way the puzzles are structured, a larger group can quickly find themselves getting in each other's way. The room is also somewhat dark and dimly lit, but there is nothing scary about it. MindMaze themselves recommend it as a family room, and we agree that it could work well for families with children. Overall, Magic Mirrors is a well-designed and polished escape room, with the setting and design being among its strongest elements. The linear structure limits the opportunity to work on several things at once, but there is still plenty to investigate throughout the game. The more modern mechanisms fit the magical theme very well, and the ending with the amulet provides a nice conclusion to the experience. Fairly easy escape room, interesting story, fun puzzles. Its nothing special compared to other mindmaze games, but still fun experience!

Not a very good room! Not bad, but just nothing special. Seems like this is an «older» game from another company that MindMaze bought. It is sad, as it’s in a different league from the other games from MindMaze (which are fantastic) I do not reccomend this one!
