Absolutely loved this game, one of the best for overall theming Iβve ever seen. The puzzles were the perfect balance of physical tasks and mental struggle!

Hello! We are so sorry about what happened during your experience. That was a nightmare for you and us alike! We did block off all available games and fixed the problem the next day after thorough troubleshooting. I really appreciate your kind words about the set that we worked so hard on, and sorry to hear that the puzzles didn't hit for you. Despite everything, thanks for the like! We hope to see you back for the rest. - Countdown Games Team

Okay so....mixed review. Overall a game you should check out if you are at Countdown. If you love atmosphere don't miss this one. Loved: The set (I have played many pirate themed rooms, this one is easily #2). The final puzzle. On the other hand there were not a lot of puzzles, they were all just time consuming. Overall this is a borderline Love/ Like......I lean like but I would reccomend playing it as an appetizer to Murder Mansion or Ghost Town.

Rating 4/5 - Huge pirate ship with a lot of tech! Here's why I enjoyed this room: -The pirate ship set was surprisingly large and looked so cool, there were even weather effects to make it more immersive. -Multiple areas and levels to explore, at least 1 person will need to climb a ladder. -Puzzles were mostly fun and fit the theme (though not all were great). -It was a mix of mechanical interactions and lots of tech, there was only a single padlock and it looked appropriate to the time period. -Ending was enjoyable, fairly climactic, and was a good opportunity for teamwork. -The GM was also friendly and helpful. The only issue for me is that they do not provide a writing pad so you have to use your phone. I played this room solo and it's doable but I'd recommend 2-4. March 2025 Update: My ranking of the rooms here I've played starting with my favorite: 1. Ghost Town - Rating: 4.5/5 2. Murder Mansion - Rating: 4/5 3. The Pirate Ship - Rating: 4/5 4. Prison Break - Rating: 3.5/5 5. Time Machine - Rating: 3.5/5 6. The Scary One - Rating: 3.5/5 7. Abduction - Rating: 3.5/5 8. Shock & Awe - Rating: 3/5

Hello! Similar to your Shock & Awe and Abduction review, our only comment is this: -Due to groups commonly using our provided markers and pens to vandalize the games (drawing and writing out codes or personal notes on in-game props and sheets) we do not provide writing pads or pens / markers anymore. So we just tell groups they can use the notes in their phones if needed in the spiel. Thanks for coming out to play and for the heart!

Countdown is pretty reliable with its awesome rooms, and this one did not disappoint! The amount of detail that goes into crafting their rooms is so impressive. The moment you walk into this room, you see the wow factor. None of the puzzles were incredibly tricky, but the immersion and the variety made this so memorable for me. You can tell a lot of heart went into planning it! We have done many pirate themed escape rooms, but this one definitely stands out. It's a different take on an old trope!

There was a lot of bending, moving back and forth, stair climbing, and a ladder. Definitely one of the most physically active rooms that we've done!
Several parts of this room would be very difficult for people with mobility issues, or hearing trouble.

Weβve done pirate ship rooms before, but this is the first time weβve done a room that actually had an ACTUAL PHYSICAL PIRATE SHIP!! The set on the ship is impressive as well. Puzzles are mostly good and skew easier. The final puzzle was a literal blast! It felt like we were an actual crew steering an actual ship in the dead of night! So come aboard and bring along all your hopes and dreams for this one!

Countdown Games did not disappoint on the immersion of this room. Real feel and not a very difficult room. Fun room for a group of experts or noobs. I would definitely recommend!

This room is one of my favorites at Countdown Games! The set up is so cool and the technology is really effective. That being said, this room is relatively small at places and relatively easy. Great for younger players! Also great for those looking to be entertained, not challenged!
Flowed very well! The puzzles made sense in the context of the room.
The set up is super cool! The ship is relatively small but itβs very well done.
We had the same game master for multiple rooms and she was very helpful!

Iβve done pirate ship themed rooms before but theyβve never been this well executed.
The story wasnβt particularly interesting or unique but it was suitable to the room. Countdown Games strengths are definitely the sets and technology, not the storylines.

This would be a great room for beginners or younger players! Not particularly challenging but still super awesome!

There are some stairs and a ladder. Additionally, some parts of the room are a bit cramped. This room isnβt aggressively physical otherwise.
Absolutely not accessible for mobility issues: too small and too many upstairs locations. Any issues with hearing or vision could be dealt with by communicating with teammates.

Countdown Games is a giant building and stands out.

There is a lot of parking but itβs also relatively busy.

This game was beautiful and I loved how it simulated the storm. There were sadly many broken parts and the screens did not work.
