One more big score…That’s all you are looking for and then you are out of this business. You have cased this casino and your team has a solid plan. But that doesn’t mean this will be easy. Use logic to beat the games on the floor, wow the VIP’s and follow the patterns to crack through the high security vault. Once you have the swag. All you have to do is get out.

A fine room by Strike standards, Casino Heist still takes all the standard issues with corporate escape rooms and stuffs them in a rather small space. The tech is out of date and the flow leaves a lot to be desired. The story in this one was actually semi coherent which I enjoyed. Nothing special in terms of puzzles, the fake slot machine with numbers that are just drawn on did give us a laugh though. Getting a sheet immediately that relates to the very last puzzle feels like an unnecessary inconvenience. The workers also tend to brief us through at the speed of light which is never something I enjoy.

Probably the best escape room of the 3 offered at Strike QV, it definitely felt the most fleshed out with puzzles that suited the world around us. Having said that I’d still consider Casino Heist to be a very middle of the road room with a generic code-lock system that is pretty outdated by today’s standards. Some tricky solves throughout but nothing annoying, still had a lot of laughs playing through. Gamemasters here are often very rushed or generally low energy as the escape rooms aren’t the main selling point of their venue, not super ideal.
Sounds from loud bowling alley very prevalent.

GM sped through the story so we didn’t really catch much. It was a very generic jewellery heist narrative.

This is relatively basic escape within a less than ideal noisy environment. The puzzles are frustratingly abstract and the answers are not satisfying.
