Itβs 1945 and the Air Commodores at RAF Tangmere have secured a barrel of ale of the highest quality, which they shipped in secretly last night under the cover of darkness. Whilst they are planning a jolly good knees-up for the senior officers, you and the rest of the squadron face an austere Victory Day celebration. But the Air Commodores have been called away to Sector Control and thereβs a window of opportunity to break in, find the stash and roll out the barrel!

While visiting London I jumped into the enthusiast community and was able to play a game set during the aftermath of World War II when the Allied soldiers were ready to celebrate with a few barrels of the good stuff. The puzzles made sense, the game is probably best with 2-4 players because of space and I worried about the fragility of the components. Treat the pieces carefully and kindly.

Great room - clever storyline and very atmospheric with nice interesting puzzles throughout. Just the right level of difficulty and a really good GM in Uncle Sam

This is a great room, with a good amount of non-linearity to it. We played this room as a group of two, and found ourselves working independently a fair amount (something we both enjoy). There are choking points in the puzzle flow, meaning working together was also necessary at times. The puzzles themselves were all brilliant with an emphasis on mechanical puzzles and things you can touch and play with rather than more modern RFID or sensors. There's one particular set piece which I could've played with for the full hour. Our host, Jango, was fantastic. Whilst he only needed to give us one clue, this came at a point which could've been incredibly frustrating and was perfectly timed. He clearly understands the game and his players well. Overall, this is a great game and is an easy recommendation - even if you're normally put off by the war theme like me :)

Itβs a real good time. They take real pride and are very intentional in their design. Itβs nothing high-tech or absolutely ground breaking, but so much fun.

The set wonβt blow you away, but the puzzles are GREAT! Love multilayer puzzles! Jolly good fun.
