You and your colleagues have arrived in Europe to visit the famed Neuschwanstein Castle. The purpose of your trip is not just to visit the beautiful 19th century Fairytale Palace…You and your team of Historical Investigators must search for evidence that King Ludwig ll (often referred to as “Mad King Ludwig”) was murdered as opposed to drowning by suicide in Lake Starnberg on June 13, 1886. After reviewing extensive new research, you and your associates believe that there may be evidence to uncover the mystery of the King’s death (possibly a conspiracy involving his family) that is hidden deep in the castle along with the crown jewels. It is now dark outside, and after hiding in Mad King Ludwig’s bedroom until after the castle’s closing hours, you must find the crown jewels and the evidence that the King was likely murdered putting this 130 year old mystery finally to rest. Was it murder or suicide? You have 60 minutes to find out and get out!

Enjoyed this room even though we solved a puzzle (not a lock) in a way the game master did not agree with. She had us keep redoing a task till we did it her way. I think that was wrong. If we solved it our creative mind way it should be ok.

Had a lot of fun in this one! The castle set, the shocking layer of surprise, a mystery narrative, and most of the puzzles (except for a couple stinkers) made for a fun night at the castle! Big warning though, there is a lot of climbing, which the website does address. This isn’t a joke. There are ladders (not stairs) that you must climb up and down several times. It’s potentially dangerous and there isn’t really a convenient way to getting around so be aware and alert. Climbing constantly slowed us down and was annoying, although where the ladders lead to was legitimately exciting. Really wish it was a staircase or something though… Shoutout to our GM Matty for the amazing time! The staff at this location is very accommodating and phenomenal! They were great and made us feel very welcome!
Staff is top tier! Thanks for the great experience Matty!

Rating: 3/5 I mostly like this room just because of the set. It was visually appealing, immersive, had multiple levels and areas. I enjoyed climbing around between the areas. However, the puzzles were mediocre at best and there were too many locks and keys, so uncreative and low tech.
