The Forbidden Jungle

Really fun room. Padlock'd blindfold you and lead you into the room, which isn't really necessary, but does really add to the experience because the room is small; but because you've just appeared all of a sudden in the middle of the room, and the entrance is now hidden, it does help you feel like you haven't just stepped into a closet. It's a very clever use of space. It was disappointing to find out that the escape itself is a pre-packaged "Jumanji" themed room companies can buy fully formed and that appears in malls across the globe, but that's only disappointing because we hated the idea of accidentally doing it again whilst visiting some other city. If you're just on the Gold Coast, if you haven't done a lot of rooms, if you steer clear of all jungle themed board game rooms after this one, then it is still a fun experience.

First ever escape room and loved this game

I was expecting to be disappointed with this room after having experienced jungle theme rooms like Ruins over in the States. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Many of the aspects of this room were designed by a company called "Indestroom," but this isn't necessarily a bad thing. This allowed some from neat effects and moments. If you are a fan of Jumanji, you'll love this room Overall, I recommend The Forbidden Jungle.

The Forbidden Jungle was actually a staff recommendation due to its higher difficulty and it didn’t disappoint! The room uses the space really well hiding away a mountain of content all organised in a very satisfying, multi-linear 4 path format. I had a great time. The utilisation of the Jumanji board game was a nice touch as it was used multiple times and played a massive role in the story, making our overall objective clear the entire time. The puzzles themselves didn’t feel super tricky but there were definitely enough of them to feel like you’re getting your money’s worth. If you’re going to Padlock’d and aren’t a big fan of horror, Jungle is my pick if you’re looking for a really well rounded, satisfying experience. 6.7/10 🔏🧩

A fun room and great for some Jumanji nostalgia. A bit frustrating because traffic down from Brisbane was horrendous and we arrived ten minutes late to find out they'd forced our earlier friend to start on the dot, meaning she spent the first ten minutes trying to do the room solo. We'd have rathered losing time off the end (since we knew we wouldn't need it), and asked for that option but were told our friend had to start or we'd lose our booking. Although I understand the importance of running on schedule, we felt we offered a fair option and would have appreciated some flexibility.

Not as challenging as difficulty rating suggests, puzzles were quite basic in nature. Good theming and atmosphere but staff weren’t very engaging or approachable

Not my favourite. Mechanic did not work first time round. For experienced escape roomers the individual puzzles were not particularly challenging.

Loved this escape room!

i did like this but some of the puzzles were quite difficult and frustrating iykyk 😂 but overall it was good and different

We escaped this one, and then brought the kids back to play it with us! Absolutely love it, just like Jumanji, without the massive clean up afterwards 😆
