We did not know the evidently extensive backstory of Pepe Le Scuzz, but that was no problem in terms of completing the room. There are a series of puzzles to solve, each of which concludes by giving you some information about how Pepe has (or has not) been able to pull off his nefarious schemes over the years. I am sure it would have been very entertaining to experience the series of rooms that have told the story over the years. For this room you reach a decision point where you can choose an easier finale or a harder finale. We had 30 minutes left so we chose the harder finale and barely finished (I think we were technically a few seconds over time) so this is more like opting into an entire second escape room, which we enjoyed very much. Good use of the environment for puzzle content and a nice variety of puzzles. This is clearly a family business and a labor of love, and we appreciated it for what it was rather than trying to compare it to other high-budget or high-tech rooms we have played in the past. On that basis, I give it a thumbs up!

Firstly, I love that this location has their own villain/mascot! We liked learning a bit about Pepe here, you don't need any knowledge of his shenanigans from previous rooms, thankfully. We did this with just 2 of us, this was our 98th room, and with this amount of experience it was tough to get out. We did choose the longer ending, we were told upon choosing it that it would be tight, time wise, but we still had to give it a shot. We got so close, our GM was great and did give us an extra 5 minutes since we were almost there. (We always appreciate that!) The puzzles were fun and we kept very busy the whole time, we only got minimally stuck a couple of times and needed a couple nudges. This was a very solid room overall.

Very fun escape room! Also very difficult! We only had 2 people and were not able to escape in time. With 3 or 4 people I think it would have been much more doable. Still a really fun experience!

What. A. Fun. Room. This was the first my group had done here at this location, but man was it an exciting time. Every puzzle felt like it was rooted in some kind of history, and by the end you really understood who this villain was and what they were trying to do. We love rooms that tell a good story, and this one does in spades. The props are fantastic, and even when you're not working on a puzzle there are cool things to look at and do.

Good story and challenging puzzles, but unfortunately there were several technical difficulties in the room on the day we played which really tainted the gameplay experience. Hopefully they can get the kinks worked out!

You would think after playing as many games as we have, we would finish with more than thirty seconds on the clock. And that was the easier of the two endings. We will be back to try the harder ending. A fun story and we were constantly in solve mode with the occasional overthinking (maybe more than occasional) and a couple search fails. Always like to see what PJ has come up with.

Fun room with a lot to do, especially if you choose the more difficult path. I enjoyed the choose your own adventure format

We played the more difficult path as you choose your own path around the midway point

Great game and great atmosphere! It was a bit scary for the 8 year olds in the room, Iβd say itβs borderline ok for that age. The puzzles were pretty hard but the kids enjoyed the ambiance and could definitely pitch in with two adults helping/guiding and tons of clues. We had a LOT of fun and the kids talked about it for months after.
