Amnesia

Rating: 4/5 - Very satisfying puzzles, non-linear gameplay, though set is sparse Pros: ➕Set looks nice enough, they did a good job hiding the fact that you're in a basement of a house. ➕Great variety of fun, satisfying puzzles. Many were on-theme, related to sense and the brain. ➕Puzzles were all fair and logical, with a moderate to challenging difficulty. ➕Non-linear, which is good for keeping your whole team occupied, it also flowed well. ➕Multiple rooms to discover. ➕There is some tech, it's not all padlocks. ➕Everything was well lit. ➕GM was helpful and friendly. Room for improvement: ➖I wish there was more décor and props, I get that they're going for a minimalist vibe, but it makes the room less visually interesting. ➖It's too heavily dependent on combo locks and keypads for my tastes. I prefer when puzzle outputs aren't mostly just number and letter sequences. It's playable as a team of 2 but challenging (make sure you split up), you have to pay for 3 tickets, call to confirm. I'd recommend a team of 3-5 enthusiasts since there is a lot to do.

Actually did this one twice but two years apart so we remembered hardly anything other than one very simple task and the general layout. Our group was smaller (5) the second time which helped. We got in each other’s way a lot the first time (9).

This is one of the first rooms my group did that wowed us, and we still bring it up when talking about our all time favorites. It was a truly unique room with fun puzzles and theming.

This room was designed for experienced players, and we enjoyed it immensely! It was quite a challenge for a group of two, but it was hard for the right reasons, not because of ambiguity.

Experienced team that works well together and we really enjoyed the room. Divide and conquer worked well for us in this room. Nice storyline that I haven’t heard before (not the typical science type story).

I did this room with a group of friends. Our Game Master told us that we had the most chaotic style of solving puzzles he has ever seen, but somehow it worked 😄 This room was a lot of fun and had some really fun puzzles. It is hard, but that adds to the fun I think. So come ready to think hard!

Amnesia is complex, with multiple puzzle paths - our group of 4 who have done many escape rooms was busy the entire hour and enjoyed it.

I loved this room!! Even with a lot going on, I feel like the room was still able to flow nicely. Super cool and unique!

So glad we decided to attempt this room with just the two of us. It got a victory dance out of me when we beat it 😅 It deserves it’s title of difficult and it was because of well done, smart puzzles instead of just filler to distract or time suck. (In my mind this is an extension of The Chimera Corp 😉)

An atmosphere driven room where puzzles feel like they have a purpose within the story being told. Some difficult puzzles too!
