Escape the Darkest Hour: Torture Chamber

Very fun room. Alyssa is an awesome game master. We spilled a lot of tea. Will be coming back to play the other rooms

We found this room to be creative but easy. Could have easily had a handful more puzzles. Very traditional lock technique in a linear fashion. They treated us great and it's easy to find.

Highly enjoyed this room except for a poorly placed cabinet. My partner ended up almost splitting his skull open on it. Due to the dark spaces and scavenger hunt type puzzles, it is easy to understand how it can happen. They actually stopped the room because of how hard he hit his head. Just be careful- although maybe they changed it after us 🤣 one of the better rooms at this company!

Kayla was a great host! I loved the room, the atmosphere was great, and it was super spooky for no live actors. The only reason this didn’t get a heart from me is it was really short - we beat it with 25 mins left going at a leisurely pace. The puzzles were a good difficulty, I just would have loved more puzzles. It’s still completely worth it and there were some unique and fun moments!

A good room, but it absolutely terrified my 12 year old.

Nice story. Nice atmosphere, eerie specially inside the 2nd room. Definitely some unique puzzles that I’ve only seen in this game so far but puzzles are a little easy to figure out. Still love this room tho

The little ways that our game masters made this room fun for us with the creepy serial killer theme are top notch! I won’t spoil it but the personalization made this experience a memorable one. The puzzles themselves were of medium difficulty. A couple had us think for a little bit but the clues were right in front of us. The darkness does and will pose as a challenge when it comes to looking for certain clues. Our team of seven had slight trouble getting started in the first room but once we were able to figure that out, the rest of the puzzles flowed smoothly. There were jump scares and laughing! A great room to do at night to get the adrenaline running with friends

I found the creepy serial killer theme interesting, but the darkness, while obviously part of the room’s name, gave us trouble as usual. As soon as the GM, who was awesome by the way, helped us with the 1st puzzle that requires finding something in near pitch blackness, we basically steamrolled through the rest of the room. The room wasn’t completely reset when we came in, as in the door to the 2nd room was completely open, and we were exploring the room for a few minutes before they came in and said we weren’t supposed to be in there. They did reset the time, but oops! My favorite part was a special personalized interaction with the serial killer. Hello killer!
