Gangster Gnomes 2 Out On Parole

Cute mom-and-pop Christmas room- lots of locks, lots of puzzles, and lots of gnomes. Great family room, but for enthusiasts, keep team size down to 2-3 (definitely wouldn’t play with more than 4) or else you’ll be flying through this room. Go in with expectation of some solid puzzles in a low-key setting (I.e. no big reveals / ‘wow’ moments) and you’ll have a great time

This room was actually very cute and I was pleasantly surprised. I love a solid, independent escape room with a unique theme. Gangster Gnomes is definitely a unique and original one - as if they robbed a gnome collectors house and used all of them as props in the room. A great Christmas themed room, though I played it in the summer, the puzzles were good. Some slightly challenging but nothing too hard.

If you like those gnomes you find at craft fairs and Hobby Lobby, you’ll love how many of those are in this room. This is a super cute, one-room game that we really struggled with by overthinking a few of the puzzles. Unfortunately, one puzzle didn’t work the first two times we put in the right solution. The GM didn’t notice we had the correct solution, so we spent a lot of unnecessary time on it. Also, at times you get info or props to solve a puzzle. Thinking you have what you need, you work on that puzzle, only to figure out later that you need more information that will come later. So, you end up spending time trying to solve puzzles that you don’t have everything for. That really messes up any flow of the game. That said, there is a lot to like in this game, and we did enjoy it, for the most part. I mean, who doesn’t like cute Christmas gnomes, even if they ARE gangsters?

Cute room, family friendly. Fun and festive. Great starter room for newbies that don’t want to jump into anything intense.

Lots of locks! Puzzles were straightforward. Overall it was a pretty simple room, fun for kids IMO
