Something Wicked!

Something Wicked was a lot of fun. Glad we were able to get back here before they close! Thank you Katie for a fun game.

Great room. Great puzzles. Ask to do the spooky version. Love the callbacks and design of it over all. Surprised the rooms were so detailed because the venue was rather blank. Don’t judge a book by its cover this place rocks :)

This was a very fun game from start to finish. We chose the spookier version of the game, there were a few times I felt a slight unease from the spook factor and had to have my partner "do the thing", as it turns out I may be a little bit of a wimp. This isn't the first spooky room we've played, but there was one aspect here that we haven't seen elsewhere and it did make me emit a scream that I didn't expect, (sorry to the church that was in session in the building...) so I'd say it lived up to its spooky label. The puzzles were fun, attention to detail is key to being able to get past certain ones. We had a very attentive GM that had hints for us at the right times to get us out of there with a few minutes to spare.

My daughter and her friends did the scary version for her 15th birthday. They loved it and were able to finish.

Really awesome room with great special effects and fun game play. Highly recommend it, we played as a group of 4 (which worked well) but would be good for more people as well.

One of the most fun and at the same time most frustrating rooms I have played in a while. 95 percent of the room was amazing but there is a puzzle that is designed to test the patience of Job! We were doing well time wise until we hit the puzzle and then 15 minutes were just sucked away in a snap. Ignoring that obstacle, the set is amazing and captures that perfect blend of scary without going over the edge. The artwork in the first room is expertly done and kudos to whoever did the painting. The puzzles were a mix between simple (counting) and brain scramblers (logic) that made for a great game. Get over here and play this before the room disappears into the ether.

We played this at the “less scary” level, which made it delightfully creepy and eerie but not scary-scary (we talked to the GM afterwards and it seems like we could have survived the more scary version; there’s no insane clowns coming at you with chainsaws). The puzzling and the flow were one of the cleanest we’ve seen - most of the puzzles made thematical sense in the game world and we were never at a loss what to do next. There were a few surprises that were just delightful. The one exception to my general love for Something Wicked was a very process-y mechanical puzzle that was very hard for our team of two to complete; the psychologically savvy GM was able to read the frustration mounting in the room and help us out so we could move on and not have the whole game ruined (with a team of four or more, this particular puzzle may not be an issue at all). Highly recommended!

Great spooky room with some cool aha moments. I’d highly recommend playing this one.

My small but experienced group of 2 had an incredibly fun time playing this room! I wouldn’t say that the room is scary, but it is set in a creepy environment with a great atmosphere. I’ve done some legitimately scary rooms and even so, something about this one still managed to give me the creeps in a fun way! There’s a great mix of all different types and skill levels of puzzle. I don’t think ER enthusiasts will find it TOO challenging…though I believe we had to ask for a hint or 2. This room may be a bit tricky for newcomers, but they offer lots of hints if desired and I think patrons of any skill level would have fun in this room. This is a great company that recently reopened in a new location. Every staff member I’ve interacted with, in both old and new locations, has been great and I can’t wait to try out their other rooms!
