Did as a 2 and found it difficult even although we've done loads of other rooms. Maybe would have escaped if we had more people. Definitely needed the clues from the GM at times. Loved the theming within the castle which was so impressive and a great storyline. Linear puzzles which is good for smaller groups. We usually get a bit extra time in previous escape rooms but sadly didn't this time as GM was very prompt. He did however explain the remaining puzzles to us which I loved. Enjoyed our time

Amazing setting for an escape room!

Wow, what a venue! A castle that’s over 600 years old and they have kept the authentic features sympathetically with running a hotel and makes an amazing escape room experience with a wonderful storyline. And the game was good too. It’s a linear game which we like when playing as a two and some great puzzles. A dodgy ‘key’ cost us a bit of time as during a GM changeover behind the scenes but that aside great hosting and strongly recommend playing. Great fun

This is a great room is a fantastic setting. Lumley Castle is a little bit special with a haunting history. Our host Joe was lovely and set up the game really well We have done a few escape rooms and this is up there with the best of them. The puzzles and game play has been well thought through. It's not an easy room but all of the puzzles are logical once you get them. I would recommend it to both beginners and those more experienced.

Awesome experience, uniquely hosted in a castle. Fairly complex so don't go here for your first escape room!

Theme was amazing. Game was very very hard and Got a lack of clues from the member of staff. Only got through half of the game. The member of staff should roughly know where you should be at during certain points of the game. If customers are falling behind you need to give them more clues. As a player we have no idea how well or bad we are doing. Some of this is due to the shire amount of hidden elements to the game.

Played with hubby, and it's one game that we played we just about walked out of., from frustration! Not really game fault but a couple of puzzles that we couldnt get our head round. Apart from those, which were us not it, we did enjoy it!

This is a solid room, the lighting can be a bit of a challenge at times and I’d definitely ask the host if you want limited clues. We had barely even got started and had chance to look around before being sent several!! But otherwise a fantastic setting with some good puzzles and ah-ha moments.

Excellent escape room set in the dungeon of a beautiful castle with a story that links to the real history of the castle. Highly recommend!
