The Good: - Our GM was kind and attentive from the moment we walked in and stayed in character to try to stimulate immersion. -Some of the puzzles had fun and unique interactions with decent reveals -A few puzzles were particularly clever -It had a good amount to do for our group of 3 without bottlenecking The Bad: -The room is on the older side so some props have wear that prevent the most smooth interactions with them -The room suffers from clutter. There is only one main "work space" for many items, many of which aren't relevant to the games -Some interactions (the most practical magic ones) didn't result in enough clarity (literally in one case) -One logic puzzle was particularly convoluted and the GM couldn't explain it with clarity afterward. We solved by guessing -Puzzles often had no correlation to their locks and required testing or running around to figure out which of the many locks solutions went to. This room is labeled as "very challenging" and we were curious what that meant for an older gen1-ish room in a city with a relatively thin escape room culture/ selection. It seems like it was referring to a couple of particular puzzle that bottleneck players at the start and I could see taking up a lot of time with minimal pay off.

Gameplay

The flow, once you get going, is fine, but the beginning can be a slog. Not having good momentum going in makes the rest of the game have the possibility of feeling frustrating or frenetic.

Atmosphere

This older room has many props with wear or puzzles that had prop wear that either gave away solutions or made them difficult to work through. The room is dark in some places.

Customer service

Our GM was great- stayed in character(s) and was welcoming.

We were visiting from out of state, so we were excited they could squeeze us in for a last minute booking. Bailey was a great gamemaster! Very interactive escape room. A great challenge for even experienced escape room enthusiasts. Will definitely be back next time we come to visit.

Gameplay

There was a couple of times we didn't know what went to what, but once we got out of our heads it all made sense.

Atmosphere

At first glance the room doesn't look super decorated, but the more that was revealed the more fantastical it got

Customer service

We had difficulties booking since we are visiting, but once we talked to the staff they were very helpful and accommodating. They were willing to squeeze us in last minute 10/10 customer service! Thank you Bailey and Kimberly!

Easy to find location

Yes

You kind of have to drive through a neighborhood, but its at the back of business building and easy to spot from the parking lot

It was alright. This was one of the first rooms in a while that we did not escape from. We also took two newbies so idk if that had anything to do with it. I remember some of the puzzles being somewhat convoluted

The facility is a little hard to find, in a one-way street accessible through a neighborhood and hidden in the back of a house-turned-business-park. They let you in 5 minutes before your start time, and if you haven't done waivers you will need to fill them out quickly while rules are being given (which I disliked, as I hadn't been sent a waiver by my group organizer and could not focus on both the rules and the waiver, and I missed some of the room details). The room itself was fun. The GM had a character and engaged with us in an immersive manner. There were a fair number of padlocks, unfortunately, but also some more unique puzzles, including several cool alchemy puzzles and a twist on a common code puzzle I quite enjoyed. The room was linear, but also fairly challenging, as we had a group of 8 and only about 3 minutes left when we succeeded. I liked the in-character hint system as well. The GM took a photo with one of our devices, and told us our official time, but those details were not sent to us afterwards.

Gameplay

Flow was pretty good, but the first puzzle can be unintuitive to figure out if you missed some of the intro while doing waivers.

Atmosphere

Most of the room was immersive, but there is only so much you can do to disguise that this was once a living room.

Customer service

The GM was fun, engaging, and did some good character work.

Particularly interesting or different

Yes

Some puzzles I had not encountered, and a twist on a more classical code puzzle that I really liked.

Story

The plot was simple, but the majority of puzzles matched.

Difficulty

Hard

Without hints we wouldn't have made it.

Game tech

Mechanical

There are a couple of Gen-2 puzzles, and some chemistry puzzles as well.

Ideal number of players

Barely made it with 8 (though several were first-timers)

Scary

Minimum age

14

Chemistry puzzles best done by adults, and a couple of things require some reaching that a small child could not do.

Was anything broken?

No

Live actors

No

The intro and success are done in-character, but there are no actors in-room during play.

Physically active

Accessibility

There is one section that requires stepping over a 1-foot-tall divider. A couple of puzzles require crouching. Good eyesight is fairly important here. Reading comprehension is mildly necessary. A steady hand is strongly recommended. Groups must be able to hear to get clues, and able to speak to solve at least one puzzle.

Easy to find location

No

Use your GPS, trust me.

Parking

Medium

There were enough spots for our vehicles, but if another game or the other businesses there needed the spots it might have been problematic.
