The notorious serial killer “One Eyed Jack” is terrorizing your town. Despite the warnings to stay indoors you decided to go out with your friends for a night on the town. The last thing you remember is taking a sip from your drink. You awake groggy and confused, locked in a crude jail cell. You need to act quickly and find a way out before he returns.

We enjoyed Operation X-13 so much, that five of us stayed behind to take advantage of the 20% same day re-booking discount. This time we escaped from One Eyed Jack. Loved this room as well! So many unique elements to the puzzles. While I wouldn’t label it as a difficult room, the excellent flow of the puzzles and story made it absolutely worth doing! At least one person needs to be able to crawl (though we all chose to crawl to get the full immersive experience). We had Buggy as our game host, and they were great. Thanks to the entire Trapped staff for making our experience extra special!

There was one task in particular that I thought was super clever and had never seen in a room before. I won’t say anything else because I don’t want to spoil it.
Easy
So this room was easy for us. I don’t know if it is actually an easy room or if it just played really well to my team’s strengths.

3-5 players is fun. 2 would be nice and spooky though.

This room contains some dark themes so I would not recommend it for children.

Solid room!! Spooky not scary for sure. Puzzles were super fun and made sense. Healthy amount of spooky that’s just enough to enjoy but not terrify anyone. The storyline flows nicely. It’s one of their most popular rooms for a reason :)

Very fun and some jump scares. However wished there were more challenging puzzles. My group finished the room with almost 30 minutes left.

Fun room. A bit on the easy side, but that’s okay for the group we had that day. Nothing was crazy and even the harder puzzles had clear sign posting. I think we enjoyed Pandora’s box a little more.
Standard kidnap / escape theme - well done.

There was a crawling spot, but there is a door around it once the first person gets through.
Very dark for the first half.

I liked how this room incorporated a mix of lock-and-key puzzles and creative physical tasks that gave a sense of a real "escape" experience. I also enjoyed the spooky atmosphere, which was mostly created by darkness and occasional noises, but I wish they committed more to the scares and the story. It felt like the spookiness petered out rather than escalating. (Serial killer abducts us, then leaves us alone for an hour... I couldn't feel his presence after the beginning, and I found myself wanting more developments so there was more urgency.) By the end it started to feel more like solving random escape room puzzles than being part of a story with real stakes. I also thought the low lighting was frustrating at times, especially when combined with the small visual clues. We ended up solving one puzzle by accident before the solution was clear to us. We asked our GM about it afterward and she said there should have been a visual clue somewhere, but we weren't able to find it with her when we went to see the puzzle together. She ended up saying she would have to check the guidebook, so I left feeling confused about that part. Overall, I preferred Pandora's Box at this location and I think that room provides a slightly better puzzling experience.
The set was a little bit sparse and random. It felt more like "escape room and escape room props" rather than an immersive, cohesive location.

We had to use a limited light source for a good part of the room. It could be a struggle in larger groups for everyone to see what's going on.

Really great room with fun, tactile puzzles and spooky themes. For enthusiasts, there aren’t enough puzzles. 4 of us finished in 25 minutes (without trying to go fast) and were disappointed that there wasn’t more to do. Still loved it, just wish it was longer!

Wow, that is an impressive time! We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed that there was not more to do. I would suggest checking out Operation: X-13 next time you come to visit. It is an adaptive experience, so skilled groups like yours have additional puzzles and story elements to play trough if you have time.

This was my favorite game at this location. So many great elements to this game and the flow was awesome. There were some moments that felt like I was in a magic trick. Very immersive and fun! The staff was incredible too!

We always aim to make our games as immersive as we can, so we are so pleased to hear that we were able to provide that experience for you. We will be sure to let the rest of the staff know what an incredible job they did.

This was a pretty good room! Definitely had a great design and a good amount of puzzles. It had a mix of locks and other trigger puzzles but was straightforward. Good for beginners or experienced players looking for a quick and simple game.
Pretty simple/straightforward storyline. Flowed well, one point of the room had a more open flow but it was easy to stay on track.
Great design and creepy atmosphere (not scary!). The props were great and they put great effort into the design. Puzzles were pretty standard but still fun.

Some puzzles worn down but still fully functioning.
