The game is afoot, Watson! Throw on your deerstalker and try to solve the mystery within the crumbling walls of the mystery mansion. The story is your standard creepy fare. Years ago, the owner of the house died a mysterious death and now you must figure out whodunnit. I love stuff like this - with a passion! It's a toss up to which I enjoy more - solving a mystery or escaping a room. Imagine my glee when I had the chance to do both. The room wasn't giving off great mystery vibes when it started but once you entered inside the game upped the ante and provided the classic creepy setting. The puzzles were an unusual mix to say the least. There were several standard puzzles but it seemed as if they had learned some new tricks and threw some puzzles into the mix just to show off. They were cute but they didn't seem to really fit. Also there was much more math than I ever expected in a mystery. This felt less like an escape room and more like an episode of MathNet by the end. Overall, I found the room a lot of fun and recommend this to beginning groups and families with younger players.
