321 escape rooms
This room was a mixed bag. I liked the idea of having no GM for clues but at the same time I have paid for the room and want to get through as much of it as I can. We hit the halfway mark and had no idea what we were doing wrong or what we had missed. The GM took mercy on us (got tired of hearing us whine) and helped us get past the sticking point. The set, when you could see it, was really well done. I say this because the first room is all in darkness so more on that later. Once we entered the later portion of the rooms, the ick factor was ramped up and the spookiness/grossness really kicked into high gear. The puzzles were a lot of fun (except when we all went brain dead) and flowed nicely once we got into the groove. The whole first part being in darkness was a first for me. I have since done rooms like that and loved it but for my first time it was a bit unusual. I have enjoyed the rooms I have done with this group and look forward to see what new and exciting surprises await.

Thank you for the detailed review and for sharing your thoughts! Just to clarify, we relocated from Amherst in 2023 and retired several of our older rooms (including dark/heavy horror ones) before the move. It seems this might be referring to one of those. We’re happy you enjoyed the ick factor and set design once you got going! We’ve improved a lot since then and would love to have you back to try our current lineup.
