Overwhelmingly yes! This is such a good room! It checks all the boxes including a couple extra bonus scares. Cross roads escape games really is the best facility of anywhere we’ve played. They don’t miss. Fun friendly staff. All the games are fun, well thought out, and beautifully executed. The game masters really do make the experience next level too. Overall I’d say best escape rooms….yes rooms; they take the top 3 spots, in Southern California!

Family got together and did The Whispering Witch after hearing so many great things and reading so many great reviews. It absolutely lived up to the hype! Our GM Zakk was fantastic and locked in to giving his players a memorable experience. The lore given tied with the interactive elements of the room makes it so you can't help but be sucked in as a victim within the truly frightening story. 5 stars and I envy those that still have this room to do for the first time.

I don't particularly like scary things, but I am willing to do them if there's a compelling way it's presented. It also helps that the actor is not going to touch you. I don't think that makes it much less scary in the moment, but it did help me to get through it. I would definitely recommend this room to anyone who can tolerate scares, or might even consider doing something scary if it meant also doing something great. Really solid escape room! Whoever designed the space made fantastic use of every square foot. We had 6 people and it never felt crowded, never felt like I had to squeeze by someone to do a puzzle or look over their shoulder. There is a live actor in this one, and it works great in the setting. You don't directly interact with them, but you will be quite close to them. Those scenes were quite cinematic and the lighting effects really sell it. Hints are provided via an in-universe method, and there's also a pretty clear way to tell the time in the room so you can very quickly tell how much you have left. We needed a hint or two because there are maybe one or two puzzles that we definitely would have gotten stuck on. Some really neat and novel spins on puzzles to make it in-universe, so to some folks it'll feel just barely familiar enough but also fresh.

I thought this room had amazing atmosphere and effects, especially if you like scary movies its a great experience. The puzzles were unique but were a little imaginative with some "spells". Otherwise good room!

This was a super fun room! The theming was great and the live actor helped to dial up the realism. If you hate horror and scares, then this room wouldn’t be for you, but overall I think it’s pretty tame and that most people would enjoy it. I enjoyed the story and its through-line while you are in the room. I am surprised this room requires 4 people, as none of the puzzles required more than 1 person. It would have been just as fun with 2 people, I think, so I wish that was an option, since we have a difficult time getting together groups of 4 to do escape rooms. My only minor gripe would be that our GM gave us some unnecessary nudges. Considering we escaped with just over 10 minutes, we clearly weren’t running low on time, so the unsolicited help just took away from us figuring things out on our own. Overall a very fun room! Would recommend!

Incredible room! Very scary, but the scare actor didn't touch us. The puzzles were challenging but not too difficult, and there was a good division between puzzle time and scare time. The hint system and time tracking were immersive, and the hints were only given if you asked. Excellent experience.

Holy 💩! This room is definitely scary scary but one of the best games we’ve played so far! 🤣 For anyone brave enough to play, I highly highly recommend this escape room! There is a live actor. She will try to scare the poops out of you. Multiple times. No contact. But you will be all out of poops by the end of the game 🤣. The story was IMPECCABLE. Not once have I forgotten what the “mission” for the room was. Many escape rooms are just puzzle after puzzle and you kind of forget what the original mission was. Not this one. You’re trying to banish her. She wants to stop you. The immersion was perfect too! The puzzles themselves require you to do things that would really make it seem like you’re performing a ritual. When we were reading the “spell”…let’s say we were screaming it 🤣🤣 The set, the room space isn’t very big, so not ideal for large groups, but each decoration choice, each creepy ass doll, (including the very special GM one, ahemBellamyanem), are all there to build the experience and I think they did a phenomenal job with it! There is something different about this room that I absolutely loved. Most horror themed escape rooms are kind of…stressful the entire way through. Not this one. You know exactly when the witch is going to come, so the other times you are “safe” and Bellamy, our helper, kept interacting with us in character to really keep the mood from becoming scary scary. He told us jokes, made us tell him jokes, lol, but was in character the entire time! The humor I think adds to the experience by making it not so stressful the entire way through, so your experience is still positive, while allowing for the thrill of the scare. Also the difference between laughing my ass off and then pooping my pants heightens both, so I love that choice the designers made for The Weeping Witch! Some of the puzzles are a tad bit on the harder side, especially with the…location of certain things you’re supposed to find to solve the puzzle. Though once you have all the pieces, the puzzles themselves aren’t too difficult! Only tip…be brave 🤣 Our group was a group of 4 and with a few hints, we got out with a minute and two seconds to spare. I’d say 4-5 is probably an ideal group size! More if everyone is afraid hahaha! Overall, The Weeping Witch is one of my absolute all time favorite escape games, especially in SoCal! For anyone who loves horror or is seeking thrills, I would absolutely recommend this one!

YO MY FRIEND BOOKED THIS ROOM WITHOUT TELLING US AND WHEN WE GOT THERE HE WAS LIKE ITS SCARY BUT LIKE MORTY SAID ITS NKT THAT BAD. IM LOOKING AT MORTY AND IM LIKE WHICH REVIEWS ARE YOU READING?! CAUSE THEY ALL SAY DIFFERENT. anyways… i will say this. The GM put it in a really good way. They said “there’s a time for scaring and there’s time for puzzles. And you’ll know when is which. Like you won’t get scarred while doing a puzzle. Or maybe you will?” I hate horror. Absolutely hate it but this room is 10/10 really fun and would be so down to do it again!

Shoutout to Mina!!! Our host was amazing and fun, every joke hit and the live actor was incredible. Highly recommend!!!
