Rating: 3.5/5 - Fantastic, large set but too many annoyances to give it a ❤️ Pros: ➕Everything looks beautiful, these are haunt makers so they know how to make a great set. This room is part of their haunted house in October. ➕Multiple areas to explore and discover, set is very spacious ➕Almost completely tech based, minimal padlocks. The tech involved tactile/physical interactions, no buttons or touchscreens. ➕Interesting variety of puzzles, most were enjoyable ➕Non-linear gameplay means your team can split up and everyone has something to do. ➕Multiple animatronics ➕GM was helpful when needed Cons: ➖One of the most most frustrating dexterity puzzles I've ever done, it was a huge time suck ➖One puzzle requires brute forcing which is poor design ➖Story was hard to follow, it was delivered via aninmatronics and the audio is difficult to hear. They also start talking once you solve a puzzle but you may be in another area which means you miss a lot of what was said. ➖Set is overall kind of dark. They only provide one dim, diffused flashlight. Considering the size of the room and the non-linear puzzles, most of the team will be left in the dark. No other flashlights are allowed, we even got scolded for using personal flashlights/cell phones. ➖There is no ambient audio, this hurts the immersion. Plus there is significant sound leakage from the other escape rooms. ➖A handheld radio was required to communicate with the GM. I'd recommend 4 enthusiasts. The room is a spooky but there are no jump scares. My ranking of the rooms I've played here, starting with my favorite: 1. Jurassic Escape 2. Mafia Heist 3. Vampires 4. Storm Surge 5. I really enjoyed this room. It was immersive, spacious, and the set was great. The puzzles were okay. Some of them were annoying (one that you had to brute force, and another very difficult dexterity puzzle that took us 10 minutes to do). Overall, I definitely recommend it if you’re in the area.

Great room from Mindtrap. Easily the most immersive from the ones i’ve done there. A great collection of puzzles and cool surprises.

The theming in this room is out of this WORLD. The set is fantastic, and the use of haunt animatronics to tell a story as the room progresses is absolutely inspired. Some puzzles were very finicky, and many required a good deal of assumptions as there was no indication of how to operate them. These ended up being a bit of a time sink; but the rest of the puzzles were inventive, challenging, and integrated into the setting. With a few hints, the few iffy puzzles were easy to breeze past.

We really enjoyed this room. It is not super linear, so there are lots of puzzles to work on across the large space. The production values are very high, and the theme and atmosphere integrate well into the room with a somewhat-present narrative. There was one fairly annoying dexterity puzzle which is my only real knock against this room.

The set design for this game was amazing. The story was nothing special, but fit the theme well. This game is huge, and will require multiple people working on different puzzles if you want to escape. With that being said, everyone on the team will not always get to see a reveal since you have to be spread out solving multiple things at once. A few of the puzzles left us wondering how we could have solved it without a clue, but overall the puzzles were ok. It is not a scary room, but the atmosphere is spooky and done very well. It feels like you are playing in a haunted house the entire time, just without the jump scares or actors.

Really impressive room design and props.

Oh my wow! Stunning room! The room itself is large, so large that walkie talkies are necessary just to hear each other if someone wanders off. The space is full of impressive figures and animatronics! For good reason, because there is a voiced story that goes along with the room. The flow was really good, and wasn’t too confusing, even with the nonlinear structure. There were some puzzles that didn’t make obvious sense and one dexterity challenge is particularly annoying, but props to our awesome GM for assisting our group of 2! We absolutely loved this room, the theme, the gameplay, and the joy of accomplishing the final action! Despite its theme, it’s not super scary, just creepy because of the atmosphere and subject matter. Experience this room for yourself!!
