Sorcerer's Rescue

While I enjoyed another escape room at this location, this particular room was disappointing. Other reviews described it as “hard” which, having done 140+ rooms, I take to mean very challenging puzzles. While we didn’t escape this one, we didn’t leave feeling like “hard” was the reason, more “disjointed and obtuse”. We didn’t find the puzzles themselves too challenging, but the room itself lacked cohesion, a plot line, any sort of direction as to how things were related, etc. It was difficult to identify what portion (room) of the universe we were supposed to be in at various points.

This room is difficult but well put together. Says four people but we passed with three..... thank God for hints. Highly recommend for experienced escape artist. The staff gets into character really well. I've done three out of four of their escape rooms. I have loved all three so far.

Awesome, immersive room, but harder than we expected. That being said, the staff was great, especially as we had our kids with us. Would DEFINITELY recommend!

Very good room, but extremely hard. I suggest you ask for help from GMs if you go. Still a fantastic room though.

It took a little bit to figure out the flow of the room, but we did well after that. I would rate this as a medium difficulty room with lots of puzzles.

I waited to write this review and have played a few more rooms since, mostly to try and figure out if I was just being overly critical, but we really just didn’t like this one. It felt pretty mediocre in terms of design/decoration - I’m sure it’s hard to create a fantasy realm, but this just wasn’t up to par with other rooms with the same theme. The puzzles weren’t intuitive to us, nothing seemed to flow, and even with several hints, we never really could get a momentum going. We didn’t escape and left frustrated and disappointed, unsure if we struggled because of the difficulty or because it was poorly done. I’m leaning towards the latter, although obviously it’s all subjective. This was our 17th room, but the first time we’ve felt this way. I just can’t recommend this one, especially when there are, IMO, much better rooms within a half-hour drive. I will say that the staff was very friendly, and the GMs start the experience by dressing in character before you go in, which is a fun touch.

This one was definitely a little confusing at first but once you got the premise it flowed well. Enjoyed the puzzles, didn’t mind the locks as I thought they were not out of place. Some unique puzzles that were fun. With only 60 mins I could see this being a big challenge for a lot of new players. We’re experienced and we made it out with less than 30 seconds remaining, so players have to work quickly and together.

Didn’t particularly flow well but was a very fun room with multiple people. The little side rooms were quite fun.

This room was very cool. It was immersive, but definitely a tad campy. The puzzles were interesting and many were unique. This room is hard, and definitely needs some more experienced escape room players to help guide and understand the puzzles.
