It took a little bit to figure out the flow of the room, but we did well after that. I would rate this as a medium difficulty room with lots of puzzles.

I waited to write this review and have played a few more rooms since, mostly to try and figure out if I was just being overly critical, but we really just didnβt like this one. It felt pretty mediocre in terms of design/decoration - Iβm sure itβs hard to create a fantasy realm, but this just wasnβt up to par with other rooms with the same theme. The puzzles werenβt intuitive to us, nothing seemed to flow, and even with several hints, we never really could get a momentum going. We didnβt escape and left frustrated and disappointed, unsure if we struggled because of the difficulty or because it was poorly done. Iβm leaning towards the latter, although obviously itβs all subjective. This was our 17th room, but the first time weβve felt this way. I just canβt recommend this one, especially when there are, IMO, much better rooms within a half-hour drive. I will say that the staff was very friendly, and the GMs start the experience by dressing in character before you go in, which is a fun touch.

This one was definitely a little confusing at first but once you got the premise it flowed well. Enjoyed the puzzles, didnβt mind the locks as I thought they were not out of place. Some unique puzzles that were fun. With only 60 mins I could see this being a big challenge for a lot of new players. Weβre experienced and we made it out with less than 30 seconds remaining, so players have to work quickly and together.
This was fun. Slightly confusing to start but we figured it out. Once we did it flowed pretty well.

It felt pretty standard for a βmagicβ style room

This room is solid, but just felt it was not that magical and a few moments has us scratching our heads. The room is pretty dim but just enough light to make it work. Some fun spaces to explore. Overall this room is good and be ready for a challenge

This room was very cool. It was immersive, but definitely a tad campy. The puzzles were interesting and many were unique. This room is hard, and definitely needs some more experienced escape room players to help guide and understand the puzzles.
There is a "magic mirror " to help with hints. It is great to keep immersion, unlike the radios used at many placed. The room was pretty cool and decorated pretty well.
Our GM was absolutely lovely.

Perfect for 3-4. Might be too hard for 2. Up to 5 comfortably.
Not scary
Nor scary at all. Excellent for any young children or players who don't like scares.
10
Easy to reach, but may be hard to solve for children without adult help.

One of the magnets on one of the puzzles wasn't working. The GM helped remotely and it wasn't a big problem.

One of the top games I've ever played! Very clever, challenging, unique puzzles. Very immersive with great attention to detail, everything was well put together. It was so good that as soon as we finished we immediately booked all the other rooms the company had.
So welcoming and fun to talk to, especially those who helped design the game, they were very excited to share.

A great combo of high tech things that felt mechanical, you get to interact with everything but sensors allow them to have magical reactions

Passed the second time playing this room (8 months later though). Hard but fun!

The design and immersion of Sorcerer's Rescue is good. The storyline is creative and fun. Some of the puzzles were quite creative, and the room was large. The room was frustratingly and unnecessarily dark, but the darkness did make the room feel more immersive. There were a lot of very fun generation two puzzles and locks in this room. The puzzles were fun and pretty. I would highly recommend doing this room with four to six people. It's too hard for two people. COVID-19 played in big role in making this room harder. The owner of Enigma told us that usually they have live actors in the room with you, but because of COVID, we didn't get to experience that. In addition, we had to wear masks, and the masks made it much harder to do a few of the puzzles. The worst thing about Sorcerer's Rescue was the hint mechanism. We had to talk to a screen on the wall to get hints, and the hints were prewritten poems. They were not helpful. The hints were just more puzzles, and they weren't actually answers to the questions that we had. There was a CGI video in Sorcerer's Rescue that was much more impressive than the video that we watched in the lobby before we entered the room.
