The U-Boat

I love Red Fox Escapes! I've played all their games now, and I'm from out of town (played one game each of the last few times I visited the Boston area). We had a blast playing U-boat. It had great production value (the set makes you feel like you're on a submarine; there are certain events that occur at certain points in the game including a special effect I've never seen in an escape room before!) and also some lower-tech puzzles that still had cool/unique effects while solving. I also appreciated how much there was to do in the room. There were a couple minor technical issues, but our friendly game master David was helpful and guided us through said issues. The experience was still amazing despite these snags.

We enjoyed this room, fun theme with lots of space and non-linear puzzles.

I don’t normally enjoy submarine rooms as much, but son of a submariner, I had a lot of fun in this one! The immersive impressive set was a major factor, as were the puzzles. The room gets very hard, and our smaller group of 2 only had 11 seconds to spare before sinking to our doom! If U want a good boat escape, U-Boat is for U!

Best atmosphere and puzzles I’ve done so far for an escape room so far. Love the theming and well executed puzzles with great variety of different tasks.

We really enjoyed this room and yes there is a cool moment that we’ve never seen before. The game is not linear and there was plenty to do for everyone in our group of 4 very experienced players. The set design was great but it was just missing a little something to take it from good to great. Can’t say what…..

Need some coordination and leadership with this one

Another great room from this place. A lot of false flags, which was fun. Puzzles I hadn't seen before. An atmospheric element I hadn't seen before. Altogether a great room.

My favorire submarine game :) The hardest room at this location - with the coolest moment. Some great puzzles, excellent theming and good puzzle flow making great use of the largest space they have.

Very exciting and well-themed room that works with a larger group. Lots of puzzles to solve and a great surprise in one of the rooms. Wasn’t as hard as we expected, but still a lot of challenging puzzles. Our team really enjoyed it!

Must do in Boston, won't regret it
