You and your friends have been kidnapped by Edward Tandy -- a cannibalistic serial killer with a fine taste for unique electronics, taxidermy, and of course human flesh. He has created a sick and twisted game of sorts in his deceased mother's home. He hopes to weed out the unintelligent and find those who are worthy of escaping by his late mother's standards. In THE BASEMENT, you and your team will have to employ keen communication skills, a finely tuned organizational prowess, and a general ability to keep your shit together under pressure if you want to survive. This is what we like to call a funnel puzzle where you will find numerous items and clues throughout the room. These items all come together to orchestrate your escape.

Overall I would rate it a 10/10, staff amazing, atmosphere perfect, thrill factor on point. Great execution from all the staff and actors, the story is really deep as well, we found a secret ending hopefully you can too!
Gameplay
This was the most interactive escape my wife and I have done yet, we managed to escape with 2 minutes left! I really recommend it for new escapees who are trying it out definitely worth the money!

It felt like we were trapped in a movie amazing vibes and the actor was so good

All of the staff were amazing we ended up leaving a 10 dollar tip for each staff member!

Donβt be concerned if you previously played βThe Basementβ in Las Vegas or LA. This is 100% different apart from the framing story and the presence of a live actor. Different room layout, different puzzles. We had a great time!

Linear, but the puzzles are all clean. Nothing especially difficult but you always solve things more slowly when you are trying to escape the deathtrap of a serial killer. The rooms are dim but not totally dark and you do get a couple of flashlights.

You will have to split up initially but it isnβt the sort of game that requires a lot of people working on multiple things at the same time. I wouldnβt do it with more than 4 as some of the spaces are small.

Really fun room. Kind of horror themed but not truly terrifying. A bit spooky though. Well orchestrated with fun puzzles. It felt as if some of the puzzles werenβt clearly tied to the narrative or even fully clear other than for the sake of being a puzzle. Some things were partially tied down even though their use was required which could have been frustrating without good help from the staff. The live actor did an incredible job and really elevated the experience!

We've done quite a few rooms and almost always escape. We didn't get close (around 60%). We should have gotten more clues when stuck. Great room with great atmosphere. Puzzles are logical, but quite difficult and time consuming. You need to be making progress...

Loved this room. Great mix of tech and locks, loved the set & live actor(s). The plot was great. We had a team of two and still managed to escape. I wouldn't say it was exceptionally hard, I'm surprised It's marked as "expert". It was definitely challenging. Loved the SFX and the actor(s) and game master were phenomenal. The overall vibe in the place is awesome. We even got a t-shirt. Loved it!
