Demise of the Gricers

Truly unique experience. In the briefing e-mail they already tell you it’s not an escape room but and immersive adventure - and that is 100% true. They also warn you beforehand that is physically challenging and you need to climb and crawl a lot - so no surprises there. What was surprising though was the extend of details in the set as well as the story of the whole game. I applaud the creative minds behind it for coming up with this masterpiece. The live acting is also fantastic and there are fun side quests you can achieve. Unfortunately there is not enough time to do everything so you have to decide what to focus on. And possibly come back another time :)

The story is super interesting and I also understand why the game is a fan favorite. For me personally, this doesn't have anything to do with an escape room anymore. It's an experience that isn't comparable to anything I've played so far. You need to be aware that the game is extremely strenuous and can sometimes even be dangerous if you're not paying attention. The acting performance is amazing and the story is super well thought out. For me personally, the game unfortunately wasn't the right fit due to the scare factor, which is why I quit after about an hour. The team was super nice though and offered several times to adjust the scare factor for me - I thought that was very thoughtful! The rest of our group was then able to finish the game normally and raved about it a lot, which is why the rating overall turns out well. In any case, I especially want to highlight the team behind the game in a positive way. They are super attentive and friendly. We chatted for a long time after the game, and that's why, despite my early exit, I like looking back on the game.

Some experiences burn themselves so deeply into one’s memory that the world afterwards seems somehow paler. That is precisely what happens when you leave the hallowed halls of *Entered* in As, Belgium. After up to four hours of total loss of control, adrenaline, and sheer exhaustion, one thing is certain: "Demise of the Gricers" is no mere escape room. It is a primal emotional force. You can feel the heartbeat of the place the moment you step into the old, weathered railway depot. The air is thick with the scent of cold metal, dust, and lubricating oil. No stage sets were built here; you find yourself in a genuine, grim world filled with historic trains and carriages. The audiovisual production is a masterpiece of psychological terror. The subtle thrum of bass, the sudden hiss of steam, and a lighting design that makes the darkness feel like a living entity send shivers down your spine from the very first second. The actors’ performances are so bone-chillingly authentic that the boundary between fiction and reality vanishes completely into the depot’s dense fog. What makes this experience so unique is its radical departure from classic escape room puzzles. There are no combination locks or brainteasers. Instead, the entire experience relies on a unique gameplay mechanic that could have come straight out of a stealth-horror video game. Equipped with overalls, knee pads, and helmets, you navigate the vast complex. The primary goal is survival, exploring unseen, and mastering dynamic missions. The game employs innovative technical systems—such as specialized helmets and gear—that completely transform your perspective of the surroundings. You interact with the space in entirely new ways to evade threats. "Demise of the Gricers" leaves you not merely as a player, but as a survivor. The initial rush of pure adrenaline quickly gives way to paranoid vigilance, followed by moments of sheer euphoria when a stealth sequence succeeds. When you finally step back out into the daylight you feel more alive than perhaps ever before. Here, Entered has created a narrative, physical, and atmospheric masterpiece that revolutionizes the entire industry.

It was engrossing and exciting and a pool of adrenaline. I dreamt of Gricers that night.

It really is like playing a video game in real life, and the adrenaline will keep you going throughout the experience. Gricers offers a very rich world as you explore it, and it was a lot of fun to learn more about the backstory and central mystery. Very, very active and physically demanding experience, but would highly recommend and it’s hard to think of another room that offers this kind of gameplay

This is exactly what I needed. After an escape room tour the experiences started to blend together and we were getting spoiled. This is not an escape room but it was an amazing experience. The mechanics of the game were unique. The physicality is HIGH. I usually don't let spooky rooms affect me but it's hard not to get immersed when you get a jump scare and start getting chased. My only regret is that I wasn't more active with completing the tasks and we were getting "stuck/ stagnant" because we were too scared to get caught. After 200 experiences this is probably in my top 5. They are a great group of people. 9.5/10

A truly one of a kind experience. You aren’t simply escaping, you’re peeking into a macabre, fully realized world. Excellent set, acting and tasks. I flew 12 hours across the ocean to experience this gem, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Entered has created a truly special and unique game. Simply put, one of the best experiences of my life.

I like that Entered provided audio and text that allows everyone to know what is happening even if they get separated from the group. I greatly appreciate a story that makes sense. This method helped everything remain crystal clear. I think it would be great if more rooms utilized this method.
