The night’s finally here. You and some of the other inmates are making a break for it. They have the getaway raft but in order to escape, someone has to cut the power to the block. That's in the warden's office - guess who's cell is closest. It's almost time, there's some things in your cell to help you, but this escape won't happen without you. You ready?

Team work is key! You have to communicate and work together more so than any other room I’ve done before. Super fun and challenging.
Cool unique and engaging puzzles!

It really came down to the wire with two players and we needed a couple hints. One puzzle was slightly broken, but they added a few minutes to our game clock when we got it figured out to make up for the time we spent fiddling with it. Friendly staff. Fun story.

One puzzle was just slightly off. They added some time back to our clock to make up for time spent on that puzzle.

There are some elements which would be difficult for someone with reduced mobility, but the room is set up such that there is likely a work around. The beginning of the room would be challenging for someone with impaired hearing.

Overall this was a very challenging room for two people ! The puzzles were very cool and they definitely incorporated themes from the actual Alcatraz escape in the 60’s. This room was very fun and we enjoyed doing theme that is exclusive to the Sf area. Be prepared for good communication to escape your cells and then stay diligent, because its much more than just that to escape the whole room.

Excellent! Sets were great and the game was immersive and flowed really well. A couple glitches where they had changed around the solution and the old props were still in place which was slightly confusing.

This was a more complicated escape room with numerous unique puzzles to solve. Overall, with the help of a few clues, we I was able to escape and had a blast doing so.
New ideas made it fun.

Not a bad room. Very similar to the regular Prison Break but with different puzzles. I personally felt like this room was easier and more intuitive than TEG's normal Prison Break and I enjoyed my experience more. As always, TEG is very beginner friendly, accommodating, and runs a smooth ship.

I've done both Prison Break games at this location and the other in San Francisco. I liked them both for different reasons--this one is fun because it relates to Alcatraz. You can tell that the game makers did their homework and included some fun details. There was one part where I couldn't figure out how to get something open, but I should have read the instructions. That's my best advice: don't go too fast that you skip instructions! :)

It was only interesting/different because it was Alcatraz themed.

You are split into different cells at the beginning of the game, and have to work together through the bars.

If you have small children, I'd recommend sending at least one adult with each into the different rooms. you may be paired with people you don't know for this attraction.
