Prison Break: Alcatraz

Now here’s a real Alcatraz escape room! Don’t get thrown into prison in the fake ones (and I guess, also not the real non-escape room one). This is mostly similar to the regular prison break room, which we had done before. It’s about 40% different, though we still had to ask the GM which parts exactly differed. Overall, still fun, a classic split start prison break with interesting puzzles and tasks. It’s a public room so be sure warned you may have prison mates. We got a private room thankfully, but when we did the original, we were cramped with a group of 6. This game is well-themed for Fisherman’s Wharf, and this specific version is exclusive to SF!

Excellent escape room. Atmosphere and set are outstanding and the puzzles are tricky but make sense. I would highly recommend this room.

A typical “prison break” type escape room. A good room but so close to Alcatraz they missed an opportunity in my opinion.

Super immersive experience especially since it’s across from the real Alcatraz. Puzzles were more challenging than the other TEG rooms, we felt like we almost had it many times but had to get the extra push with the clues. Not too much on tech production in this room compared to the other TEG ones, but the results were still satisfying nonetheless.

Super fun room! Definitely challenging but worth it!

Another great game from TEG, but I will say…if you’ve played their Prison Break, you may want to give this one a skip as it’s very similar in my opinion.

This was a really fun location. We completed the Prison Break Room while visiting from Southern California. This company is always top notch, but it was extra fun doing an Alcatraz themed room while in San Francisco! Overall, the room theme is well produced, the set pieces are well made and the game master was friendly. The puzzles are fun, immersive and kept us engaged. There wasn’t anything too unique about this “prison” style room, but a really fun room nonetheless. I would recommend this room for all levels and would rate it medium/hard.

30% different then the escape game in roseville and very fun again

Team work is key! You have to communicate and work together more so than any other room I’ve done before. Super fun and challenging.
