Took our six year and he was really into it. He was able to complete some of the easier puzzles and it wasn’t scary. Would definitely recommend for families!

This was a solid room, especially for the Richmond market.
A few novel puzzles and game mechanics. Several game mechanics that I've seen a many times before. I am not a fan of the destructible clues for one puzzle and the safes that had a lockout time if incorrect codes were entered. But I appreciated that the puzzles were intuitive for the most part.
It felt like a lab with a whole lot of locks on everything. Some set pieces were obviously hand made. You get to use some actual scientific equipment to solve puzzles, which was cool.
very enthusiastic GM.

Very simple plot. It was just enough to provide a goal and a theme. Don't expect an elaborate story arc.
Easy
Mostly easy if you use a bit of "escape room logic" to solve some puzzles.
Mechanical
Normal locks for the most part, but there were a few sensor/prop-based puzzles.

It branches a bit in the middle.

A few puzzles required the ability to see color. Some spaces (especially with door swings) might be tight for wheelchair users, but I'd imagine it could be navigated in a wheelchair. Essentially all puzzles required vision, one in particular required fairly good vision.

The clues mostly flow extremely well from item to item and room to room. It does have multiple rooms which makes for a more fun exploration element. But most importantly, it had interactive clues where you could actually engage with the props beyond simply decoding or unlocking. (And the methods of engagement were laid out clearly without being too simplistic.) Saying more than that would involve spoilers, but it adds a very engaging interactive element to the play.
Very immersive, excellent design and effects, the bright lighting was unusual for an escape room generally but very appropriate for a laboratory setting.
Does a great job providing nudges or hints at a level pre-determined (easy, intermediate, etc.)

My husband and I did this room together with our toddler. Honestly all of the rooms at this location have been excellent. A good mixture of textual and hands on puzzles, an accurate difficulty rating, amazing ambiance, a solid amount of puzzles per room/progression/pacing. You can tell the owners are enthusiasts and put a lot of love into their rooms - they have the feel of the “big company” rooms- in terms of polish and professionalism, but more unique and fun. After 40+ escape rooms these still gave us unique challenges.

For an 8/10 difficulty we found it to be quite easy. That being said, don’t get me wrong! We had a great time and the puzzles were creative and interesting. The mechanical elements within the game (pun intended) kept us engaged and motivated, as each little piece helped us along the way. The puzzles were unique and all rooms were well decorated.

As a chemist myself, the scientific instruments had me jumping for joy. I’ve never seen actual equipment in a room before, very well incorporated into the puzzles and story.

This room was great! We did this one and Sleepy Hollow and we wish we could do the others, but we have to leave town. We will definitely come by the next time we are in town. The owner is great!

Great for a lab theme

This escape room was absolutely incredible, and we loved it so much we ended up doing two more the next day. I’m a chemist by trade, and loved the attention to science and the use of lab equipment to determine some puzzles. Very well done and the owners are absolutely awesome creative people.

What a great fun room! We barely made it out and had a blast! The puzzles are very unique. The owners are fantastic and make every experience feel personal.

We had such a great time with this one! Full disclosure we had a rocky start due to a 'puzzle' element I was very much less than thrilled with...(we spoke to the owners after playing, and they agree and are considering changing it now), but once we got past that, everything else was TOP NOTCH! Using real lab equipment as decor would be neat....but actually getting to use it to solve puzzles was next level. Something I've truly never seen anywhere else, and likely won't again! When it takes have a degree as a chemical something-or-other to design this room, you know it won't get repeated! Some standard lock and key puzzles, but more than made up for by the fun lab puzzles and the electronic stuff. Great experience!
