Finding a house this cheap is rare in New York. You're not one to believe the stories, but they say this home was refuge for one of the most evil spirits the small town of Amityville has ever known. All of the home's past owners and families have disappeared without warning. Everyone in town tells you to get out while you can -- loss is inevitable, and terror is unavoidable. Outdated room that could use a refresh. Most things worked. Some things needed extra prodding to work. Very dark to the point of being annoying. It’s not a thumbs down because there was still effort and puzzles made sense but I can’t give it a thumbs up.

Easy room that's pretty spooky. Maybe a touch scary. Ok number and quality of puzzles. Fun most of the time, sometimes meh.
Nothing novel here, standard escape room in a haunted house where a murder took place. Gameplay was ok.

Spooky vibes on point. If you’re here for that aspect then it’s a solid experience. Puzzles themselves weren’t too complicated. The main issue here is everything’s really old and the GM we had.
Certain hints are vague and certain actions we had to wait for the GM to “activate” the next step. So flow wise it wasn’t the greatest
Definitely spooky and everything fit the theme
GM gave off the vibe that he did not want to be there at all. He rushed through everything and almost forgot to tell us the backstory of the room. Basically here you go enter the room and enjoy.

The room fun fun and scary. Super dark but that was the point. As we figured puzzles out more light became available. A couple of mechanisms needed a little extra push to work but all in all it was a fun room.

This game was so busted. Nothing worked, we don't know what solved what, because the reaction time of the automation was so delayed. The final key didn't even work because someone broke it in a previous game. Don't spend your money on this one.

We had an amazing time at Amityville yesterday! As a Long Island-born gal, I always jump at the chance to see any Amityville movies or attractions, and this one did not disappoint! While the room was fairly easy for us, it was still very enjoyable and had great ambiance. A number of reviews mention the low light conditions, but we felt that it was very well executed, with just enough light to keep the environment spooky but still explorable. If you struggle in low-light environments, this may not be for you, but if you like a spooky escape room and don't mind low light, you'll love Amityville!

The theme of the room was spooky and the set design was great but a lot of the puzzles felt old and clunky. One puzzle wasn’t working and we got stuck on it longer than we should have. I think this room needs to be updated in order to be as exciting as it once was.

Some of the mechanics weren't working, which was frustrating. We could have solved one puzzle much faster, but when we asked for a clue we were told to "just keep turning the key, it'll click eventually." I think some of the mechanics were down or just didn't trigger, so finding the last object felt random. Room needs some TLC, but the GM was nice.
