Congratulations, esteemed archaeologists! You’ve been summoned to the ancestral hub of Southington, CT to retrieve a priceless artifact recently uncovered by an earthquake. You have exactly one hour before nature decides to reseal the entrance—possibly with you still inside. So, dig fast, tread carefully, and try not to let this tomb become yours!

First and foremost, the brothers who own this company and their amazing staff are all wonderful and made this experience something special. We booked all three rooms and Chris reached out to me because he figured a group booking all three rooms may be enthusiasts. We were! He wanted to know if we were celebrating a special milestone and we were our friend was going to be doing her 100th room! They had a special sign and a platter of gourmet chocolates in the lobby when we escaped. It was such a wonderful gesture! Love this group! Anyway, to the room! Once again, the experience started right in the lobby. Experience it for yourself! It is worth it! We entered the space and it clouded with a mysterious mist that quickly cleared to reveal an amazing set. The temple pieces looked realistic and reminded us all of a childhood show called Legends of the Hidden Temple. Go Red Jaguars!! What I really loved was this room had no locks and/or keys! The final chamber had an beautiful reveal that you need to experience! The puzzles are great. I will admit there is a learning curve to how the room works but when you get into the groove it moves along smoothly. This was my favorite of the three!

Sure, everyone has a "tomb" room, but what makes this room stand out from the rest is that it has no physical locks. Not a single one! When you're used to numbers & letters & keys, this can take a little time to get used to! It does take some strong attention to detail, which is made more challenging by the low level of light in the room. A creative room with some unique puzzles.

We did all 3 rooms this day & all 3 GMs were great but this room was my #100. My friend mentioned it when he booked. When we left this room & walked back to the lobby, there were chocolates & a Happy 100th Room sign!! The GM, Emilia, said she even bought some gluten free snacks "just in case." Absolutely above & beyond ❤️

No locks and no keys in this one, just puzzles (they tell you before you go in so hopefully not a spoiler). A bit of a learning curve at first, but then you start to get the hang of it. Loved the puzzles. Good opportunities for both teamwork and parallel play. Heads up if you have bad lung disease -- some fog early on.

I love a good no-lock classic escape room, and the tomb delivered on this well. May interactions felt like interaction with a large scale puzzle box, especially with some of the more tangible manipulation puzzles. In particular, a few environmentally clued puzzles were brilliant and I found myself wondering why I’ve never seen them before - there’s a lot to love for players who want experiences the can’t easily replicate at home. The set was really pretty and captured a fairly uncommon Mayan aesthetic well, especially with the walls and carvings, although the darkness was a bit of an obstacle for not appreciating the set and puzzles. Due to the more subtle cluing for a few of the puzzles, I’d definitely recommend playing either in a larger group and/or having some experience prior to playing this one, especially in the context of noticing the more advanced connections to be made. Overall, though, the environment and puzzle design made this a definite standout in the Connecticut market!
Gameplay
While the lighting was a continual challenge, and a few moments were difficult to start, the environmental cluing and tactile interactions were satisfying and creative.
Atmosphere
I wish it were a bit lighter, but the set is a beautifully done take on a Mayan tomb with some clever surprises.

I have mixed feelings about this room. I have done over 59 rooms but was unable to escape this one with 3 other people. We perhaps could have used one more person and maybe we would have escaped. We got stuck on one small thing which was not puzzle related - more of a discovery thing. Also I think it could have utilized better sound and visual cues to show that a door opened when we completed a puzzle but got held up because it wasn’t apparent that the door opened. Otherwise the theme was good, the atmosphere was immersive, and the other puzzles were solved easily. Just be sure to have someone in your group that is good at searching, poking and prodding things, and trying things out continually in order to complete this room.

Thanks for the feedback! While The Tomb definitely does reward thorough searches, we're sorry that we fell short on our signals to proceed - we're new owners over here at Escapism and super proud of our new and improved tech, puzzle-flow (and doors ;) ) in the Tomb as of March of this year. We'd love to invite you back to see the great changes we've made since! Don't hesitate to reach out on our socials!

This is a big room game that plays one puzzle at a time. With a diverse set of puzzles that play to various strengths. Bonus points for having no physical locks to fuss with. The new owners are great. This room has some challenges that they are aware of and actively fixing. This room is so close to great and I think with their touches it will be there in no time.

Thanks for the feedback and coming in to take on The Tomb! We are super proud of how far this room in particular has come since we've taken on ownership here - it is now the result of a lot of late nights and hard work, all inspired by feedback like yours. We'd love to have you back to show it off!
