710 escape rooms
This is a challenging room for us to review, because upon entering it quickly became apparent that ALL the magnetic locks were open and not reset. We asked the GM several times but she never replied, so we kinda assumed we should just continue. As we finished the game in only 33 minutes we naturally were quite displeased by the whole experience BUT.. the owner rectified things for us very quickly, offering us first class customer service. So, putting this experience aside and trying to judge it purely on what SHOULD have been ... The story is nothing new for the theme, there is no plot development and the ending was anticlimactic. I appreciate that they tried to make the story's intro interesting by having us watch a video, however, really disliked it being done by AI which has that annoying computer voice over tone. This should have been done by an actor. The look of the room is cool. It has that steampunk submarine vibe, some hidden spots to explore and a couple of small special effects. So in that area they did well. The puzzles were so-so. I think this is targeted at families and beginners to escape rooms and as so doesn't have too much to do inside and what is there is quite basic. Pretty much everything you do is techbased, I think there was only one padlock to open. For beginners and families, I think they will really enjoy the whole experience, but we personally would have liked something with more depth.
