Of the rooms we completed here we liked this room the most. Puzzles/locks were exceptionally creative and hand made. Same issues as Kings roar though, our GM was very unenthusiastic which did not add to the aesthetic of the game. Also a few mechanical errors where we completed the puzzle correctly but it didn’t open.

This was so fun! My boyfriend and I did this for a date night since we had completed a different room at the Breakout, the night before and had so much fun we had to come back! I think we had just under 4 minutes left but we made it! Carl, the owner and creator of these awesome puzzles was also running our room! He is also so nice and personable! If you're ever in town I definitely recommend this room! Carl said it was inspired by the Goonies, but don't let that fool you into thinking it will be easy. We will definitely be back to try his other two rooms in the future!

So fun! It flowed well, I think we just got ahead of ourselves at times lol
I love that different sound effects are triggered by different things and the lighting is perfect!
Amazingly! Carl was awesome!

The gameplay of this room was incredibly unique! I’ve never seen puzzles quite like these and I’ve done a lot of escape rooms. I really loved seeing something new in an escape room and it was a lot of fun! It was also more challenging for our team of escape room enthusiasts because there were so many types of puzzles that were new to us.

The puzzles in this room were so unique! I’ve done a lot of escape rooms but none that were quite like this. I usually have the stamina for multiple escape rooms back to back but this one wore my brain out because it was such a unique design. If you plan on doing multiple, I would recommend doing this one last because it might wear you out. Also, you can choose the level of difficulty that you would like!
Reminiscent of ‘The Goonies’. The additional sound cues and lighting effects were a nice touch.
It is clear that the owner is passionate about his work and he was a great gamemaster.

I’ve seen a lot of similar themes but the puzzles were very unique.
The story made sense but I’ve seen similar stories before.

You can choose your difficulty so this is really up to you!
There were some technical elements and some physical locks.

This game was VERY non-linear. We were trying to divide and conquer but it was a bit difficult with just 3 people. I would recommend 4-6.

Definitely choose a lower difficulty level for younger players.

No stairs or crawlspaces but some puzzles required getting on the ground and some puzzles required moving pieces in unique ways.
No stairs or crawlspaces but it may be difficult to access the clues that are close to the ground or on elevated surfaces for players with mobility restrictions.

The entrance is at the back of the building on the lowest level.

This room has some of the most impressive homemade engineering marvel structures I’ve ever seen. Things with endless hidden nooks-unlike anything I’ve seen before. Especially given that everything is created by the owner, it makes it all the more impressive. The game itself is fun and would be a great way to introduce beginners to the concept of escape rooms- pirate themes are usually really strong for this reason! The music and sounds helped make this immersive. And I admire the creativity required to create these DIY puzzles! A great reminder that with some 2x4s and determination, a lot of cool things can happen!

This room contained some really cool puzzles and contraptions that we had never seen in an escape room before. It’s nonlinear, which made it a little harder for two people, but great for a big group!

Loved the decor. The room was excellent but it was a challenge for just two people, but we still did it with some minor assistance. Definitely recommend. Well thought out and executed room design.
Super fun!
