The Enchanted Forest

ARE WE OUT OF THE WOODS YET?? Gah what a fantastic little room! I’m an absolute sucker for a whimsical theme and for Locked In as a venue, it was all gravy. Stupid dark wizard never stood a chance. For a small space, every inch of The Enchanted Forest is decorated beautifully with so many awesome props, fun Easter eggs and an exciting variety of clever puzzles. The experience isn’t super challenging but honestly it doesn’t need to be. It’s a perfect room for beginners and younger players alike while still having enough interesting content and story beats to keep even the more seasoned entertained for the whole thing. A special shoutout to our GM Seth who has now run every single one of our games at Locked In. He’s always so lovely to chat to pre and post game, give that man a raise.

The animals are speaking to me Seth and they say “get out, we gotta solve this room”. A whimsical adventure to save the forest from an evil wizard? Delicious content, I had a genuinely awesome time. The set design was so vibey, meeting all the little critters we had to save really had me buying in. (although pls kill the AI art) Everything in the room is signposted so well it’s enough to bring a tear to your eye. You never feel lost about where a code goes or what items are used where, glorious. Seth is my goat, a true Game MASTER. Didn’t let us squander our time on things that weren’t “puzzles” and gave us perfect nudges when needed. A King.
