one puzzle's code was very conveluted and overly complicated for what it was, having to translate numbers 3 times to get a 6 digit code that included the numbers 1-6, which youd think is the order of the code, but is the actual code.

I wanted to like this room, and in fairness it wasn't so bad that you couldn't find some enjoyment in it, but I just walked out of this room frustrated and unsatisfied (and we escaped!). So many broken puzzles, and the ones that were not broken didn't really make a lot of sense given the theme of the room. That said, the staff were all quite friendly and that smoothed out the experience a little.

Escapology is such a wildcard and a hit or miss. This particular room at this particular Escapeology was pretty well run. The room itself had a *mostly* smooth gameplay and was non-linear. I would recommend this room to any group that involves a wide spectrum of experience in escape rooms. I wrote a little more about the particular mechanics of the room below. But overall, for escapology, not bad.
Gameplay was pretty good. There were several puzzles that were creative and fun, while a few were unnecessarily difficult. A staff member even mentioned for one of the puzzles after we completed the room that she had almost never in her 6 years of working there seen someone not ask for a hint due to its purpose being a "time filler" puzzle. Besides that, there was maybe one other that raised a slight eyebrow. Everything else was pretty typical and even a couple creative ones. 7/10
Clean. Simple. Not very many distractions - you use about 90% of the items and visuals in the room. 8/10
Staff at this Escapeology was very kind. 8/10
Not at all
Despite the lasers deception making it look like you might have to crawl, leap, and extend, only one person would have to crawl and this room doesn't really require anything much.

I liked the design of the game and our game master. Puzzles were a bit all over the place and we had to use a lot of hints. Overall an okay game.

A very fun room!! Every escape room seems to have their version of an art heist and Escapology is no exception, but unlike a lot of them I've played this one has a lot of the others beat. The setting is standard but very attractive. The room itself is all white with the art providing the pops of color. It was a very aestheticly pleasing space that gave you a lot to look at while playing. The puzzles were a nice mixed bag in regards to difficulty. Watch out that you don't make the same mistakes we did and assume what is needed for the puzzle. We were able to figure out the missteps and escape with no hints but it came close. There is a lot to do in the room and will give a group the chance to split up as this is a great non linear room.

Don’t recommend. Several broken/poorly working elements, and, at least when we were there, substandard game masters giving irrelevant hints through a clunky system.
A lot of bottlenecking. Would be pretty miserable for large groups. Also several elements were either broken or not working particularly well, in a way that left us questioning whether we had figured it out. We had to use the hint button much more often than we usually would, and the game masters were not responsive.
The set design was very good. Reasonably immersive and attractive.
We seemed to be passed through three different Game Masters. Hints were clearly automated and in no way related to what we needed in a given moment: for instance, at one moment, we knew the safe code but it wasn’t opening due to an issue with the buttons. We asked to confirm the safe code, and the auto-generated hints on the screen kept displaying steps we had already completed. Other moments, the Game Masters failed to trigger things that clearly they had to manually trigger. Overall, they seemed distracted, and it really hurt the experience. Another team we spoke to also mentioned having issues with irrelevant, outdated hints.
