Absolutely LOVED this room. Amazingly immersive, some really special game mechanics, and a great GM!

Really nice variety of puzzles, great "ah ha!" moments and reveals
Gorgeous set design. Very immersive.
Amazing GM - gave feedback at the end of the game from his perspective, answered questions and gave 'just right' nudges and hints.
So appropriate for Salem without being overly scary/horror - still whimsical

I really loved the live actor in the beginning of the story!! The puzzles were really fun and thought out. I loved how pretty the different themed rooms were.

Witches Hollow was a delightful game. Our group of 4 (3 enthusiasts and 1 newer player) escaped in 46min using a divide-and-conquer approach to the room's nonlinear game design, so not every player participated in every puzzle. That was fine with us, but if you're looking to be involved in every puzzle, you'd really only need 2 players. This room is primarily tech-based, with one mechanical lock that still makes sense immersion-wise. Lots of different puzzle styles, meaning everyone can play to their strengths. My favorite things about this room were: 1. The choice you make in the beginning has an actual impact on the story 2. The ending felt so special 3. The acting was spectacular and we thoroughly enjoyed the character interactions If you HAVE to pick between Stained Hourglass' two rooms, I would personally choose Boring Office, but both games are absolutely wonderful and you should definitely play both if you can.
Special shout out to our GM who, in addition to being a wonderful actor, wore a KN95 during our visit, making our covid-conscious group feel extra safe and welcomed.
There is live acting, but the actor is not in the room with you
The final room is not accessible with mobility aids; hints are audio, not captioned; two moments require crouching, but not every player needs to be able to crouch; we did not see any air purifiers

Rating: 4.5/5 - Fantastic and whimsical with perfect theming for Salem Here's why I loved this room: βTons of tech, they still make everything very tactile/physical. Only a 1-2 padlocks. βSet looks good overall though some parts felt a bit plain βFun variety of puzzles that were satisfying and fit the theming well. βMore than 1 room to explore βInteresting surprises including a unique GM interaction βGreat special effects (including lighting and sound) that make things feel magical βAn opportunity to affect the story βFriendly and helpful GM I'd recommend 2-4 enthusiasts, but there is a 3 minimum. It is definitely playable with less than 3, I played solo with 4 min left and minimal hints, but paid for 3 tickets. I'd say this is "not scary" but it could be borderline spooky for some people just because witches are inherently spooky.

It's might be borderline spooky for some people, but I don't consider it spooky.

More no than yes, but I won't say more as it would be a spoiler. There is no actor in the room with you though.
