Some truly bizarre puzzles considering the theme. One mechanism didn’t work then one broke in the game. Then there was another puzzle that was super misleading. One flashlight didn’t work. This room needs a serious update. Island Escape currently has a "mixed" rating on 4 reviews. When we first stepped in the set was a little underwhelming. However, this room has A LOT of locks (we think they said it has the most of any of their games) and the puzzles all flowed well and were fun to decipher. It only took 3 of us just over 34 minutes, but we really enjoyed this game. It would be a great beginner room with a small amount of people since there are so many different types of locks/puzzles. We really enjoyed this one, as simple as it was.
Puzzles flowed well between other puzzles in this linear room. Only once did we get diverted on the wrong clues to solve one puzzle but the game master jumped in immediately to get us looking elsewhere.
Simple, but fun and supportive of the scenario.
