Haunted House

This was maybe my favorite Escapology room that I've played so far. It isn't actually that scary, though it does feel like it could be. It is mostly magic locks, so no need to worry about figuring out the order of combinations. This helps because some of their rooms really struggle with that. Everything felt very intuitive, and there were some clever puzzles that felt novel without being obtuse. I also liked the structure of the room and the atmosphere. It is dark, but it never felt frustrating. Overall, I think this is one of the better chain rooms I've done. I also really like their Scooby Doo one

Solid spoopy fun! There are some really neat things this room does. The puzzles are well-themed to horror without actually being scary. The haunted house, while spooky, probably won’t cause nightmares. The few jump scares are mostly from the soundtrack itself. There is one element that might be considered religious/anti-religious, but the GM was willing to help with that if people didn’t feel comfortable. We had a hiccup with a puzzle and an incorrect hint given by the GM. They didn’t seem responsive about the mistake, but they did give us quite a bit of time back, so all is fine. It’s haunted so be warned that it’s dark but we were allowed to use our bright phone flashlights thankfully. All in all, a fun offering from Escapology for people who want to challenge a haunted house but are too scared like us to do a real one… Zoinks!

This was a fantastic room. Loved the puzzles, the horror aspects. There was 1 puzzle that didn't work and when we used a clue it told us to do something we already were doing, but besides that I had a great experience!
