We didn't do the actor version, and it seems like the room would be balanced around having somebody chasing you around. The decorations are good, but the puzzles are pretty boring. There are also some pacing issues. Our 6-member group often had just one or two people working on puzzles while everyone else was sitting around (note you do have to pay for at least 6 people to play this room).
