The Roosevelt Escape Room

This was a great room. I don’t think it was in my top 10, but we had a really fun time. This might have been the largest in terms of scale and scope, as well as number of puzzles. You really need 2-3 small groups if you want to get a top score, but with a small group it’s doable to finish in the allotted time. This was our first at the palace, and we plan on doing the rest for sure. Great staff too!

The Roosevelt room was not as good as I was expecting from the other reviews. Overall it is a good room, but no one in our group had the "Wow" expression after leaving. The puzzles were inventive, but some of them just had too many iterations, that it felt more like a chore at the end.

The Roosevelt Escape Room was another amazing experience at Palace Games. The atmosphere was really cool, and the theme matched the puzzles extremely well. Everything felt like it belonged in the world of the room rather than having puzzles thrown in just for the sake of having them. What really surprised me was the **wow factor later in the game**. I definitely was not expecting it, and when it happened, it completely elevated the experience for me. It was one of those moments that made the room feel much bigger and more impressive than I originally expected. The puzzles were fun, the theming was strong, and the surprises throughout the room made the entire experience feel memorable from beginning to end. Once again, Palace Games delivered **one of the best escape room experiences I’ve had so far**. The Roosevelt Escape Room is absolutely worth playing, especially if you enjoy immersive rooms that build up to some genuinely awesome moments. **5/5 – Another must-play room at Palace Games!**

This is the biggest game, in terms of both physical size and amount of puzzles, that I’ve ever played. Palace Games loves to pack more content into their games than you would ever expect. This game has a LOT to do. You don’t play this game for story, and you don’t really play it for immersion either. This is a puzzle focused game and a puzzle heavy game. Some of the puzzles will explain themselves to you and how they work. Some won’t. They are all reasonably fair, save for a few. You will have to divide and conquer if you want to escape, but be careful. One group’s puzzles seem significantly less fun than the other group’s. Make sure you switch off team members or see whatever you want to see in order to not miss anything really fun. This is a game absolutely worth playing, but if you want anything other than a boatload of meaty puzzles, look elsewhere. That is the driving factor for this game. That is what it is all about.

We celebrated America’s 250th and our 500th escape room with a very patriotic experience based on World War I and the presidency of Theodore Roosevelt. Although I don’t generally care for historical or war-themed rooms, I do love Palace Games with the Attraction being my favorite escape room of all time. The Roosevelt surprised me in how engaging the puzzles were, with many of them including tech and light. The puzzles are smart and very hard, even after 500 of these for us. We barely got out in good time with a small group of 2. Some tasks get repetitive, especially if you end up dividing and conquering, which the game recommends you do. It culminated in a very exciting finale that made us feel like we were right there with President Teddy at our side. This is an expensive room with a flat $400+ fee even if you have a small group, so keep that in mind. I would also say to prioritize the Edison room or the Attraction over this room. But if you’ve done those and are looking for another historical hit from Palace Games, look no further than Teddy Roosevelt’s escape room, BULLY!

A big, challenging room focused more on good cooperative puzzles and less on set/design frills. A sort of meat and potatoes room, if you will.

This is the best game at Palace Games, an excellent game overall, and great for puzzle enthusiasts. It's not super high tech or flashy like The Attraction but it's got the most number of interesting and challenging puzzles. The game flowed well together too. I'd say Edison is the second best game here, The Attraction was okay but very gimmicky and maybe better for kids, and The Houdini was the worst - confusing and didn't flow well. I was ready to call Palace Games overhyped until I played this one.

Group of 3. We thought it was great. Very challenging for 3 though to complete in 90 mins (understandable).

This was an absolutely incredible escape room. This was our first palace games room and although it was definitely expensive ($450 per room no matter the number of people) it was so much fun. I really liked that it was 90 minutes. We felt busy the whole time and there was enough for all of us to do so that nobody was bored. There were multiple puzzles that were very unique and very clever. The atmosphere/design/tech was all awesome. We were able to complete in 75 minutes with a group of three experienced adults, although the GM says less experienced players sometimes struggle. Absolutely recommend if you can spare the money (and you get a 15% off discount for your next booking btw).
