2 escape rooms
We are beginners. This is our second escape room, so far we are 2 for 2 but I have picked rooms that the reviews have said are great fun and not too hard. Our “team” is mid-40’s mom and dad and two teen girls 13&14yo. My husband and I both grew up playing video games with no internet to look up how to do stuff, so I expect maybe we can solve puzzles pretty well in general, and our daughters are pretty quick too. Maybe we should have waited to do this room, because apparently it is very sophisticated and a rare gem, technology wise. We might be ruined for all the others now! The room was fantastic. It was packed with puzzles. Of course, I haven’t seen many, but wow the style and structure and tech of it was nothing short of amazing. I got my daughters started on puzzles (they figured out a lot on their own too) while I figured out others or studied things for later, and my husband was off looking in a whole different area, I feel like I could do it again since I missed so much- but there were times we HAD to converge and work together to finish goals which was also really fun! Great bonding time! We had a thrill all the way home! There were some puzzles that once started, would be appropriate to be finished by very young, smart kids. I think my 6yo nephew could have done two or three once an adult had figured out what to do, maybe if you have a kid in your party, that will help you decide. I would say four people plus a kid if you do that though, you’ll have to stay with them to help. The other people will be busy for sure too!
Everyone had a blast! Very packed with puzzles! The tech was amazing. Nothing was broken.
Very immersive! Very well made! I was impressed by the technology.
The GM went over and above to make us feel welcome.
Yes
The tech sets it apart I think. We have only done one other room, this one had way more puzzles and was more fast paced, everyone was working, coming together, working coming together- very fun and exciting.
Very interesting story! Reminded me of Skyrim a bit, those dreadful Dwemer, definitely not as annoying!
Easy
I’m saying easy because we are beginners and we beat it, but it might be medium? I only have one other room to compare it to, and it was more fun, more flowing, and the puzzles made more sense, so if that equates to easier then yes, it was easier.
High tech
Very high tech. There were some flashing lights. There were some lasers. There were lots of things that might be spoilers but the story included very high tech stuff so of course they had to put special things in!

I sat in my review, that if you have a little kid with you they could do some of these puzzles with an adult to get them started, and they would have a fun time. But probably 4 people is ideal, especially if one is helping a kid. There were times I got my two teen daughters going on stuff and then was just studying what might be coming up later
Not scary
One jump scare but it was awesome. I’m not sure they do it for everyone, I’m glad they did for us.

I think my nephew could have done some of the puzzles when he was 5 but he is very bright. He is 6 now and I really want my sister to visit and go to this room!

Everything worked great AND a the way the room is set up, part of how the room is made, you can have clues repeated, which is nice!

Medium-tech. Good game, a couple cool things but nothing mind blowing for experienced players. Good storyline and props. Interactive puzzles. Best for 3 experienced players.

Not super wheel chair accessible (lots of moving between rooms, sometimes with thinner hallways/doorways). Hearing & audible speaking required for all of game (from at least 1 member of group). Flashing lights for small part of game (only one puzzle and limited to one room—could be avoided so long as other players can complete the puzzle). Low lighting for a majority of the game. 1 smaller puzzle that requires perception of color.

The tech in this room is pretty awesome! They did a great of utilizing all the rooms multiple times to make the layout feel big. The use of their AI adds a pretty cool aspect to the game too! Definitely recommend! There are some puzzles in the middle of the game that are non-linear, but I would say most of the room is linear. Overall highly recommend!

The Neighbor is a solid room. If you've played S.A.S.H.A. before with Wild Goose Escape Rooms, then the theme is similar with a rogue AI that threatens to keep you in the room unless you escape. This is my first room with Steal and Escape and I love it! The room is non-linear in the sense that there is a lot of back and forth between the rooms. We had a group of 3 and that was a good number because some of the rooms are small and narrow. This is a great beginner room but there is a lot going on and it may be hard to follow the story. Easy to find parking because it's in a business area. Shout out to Manny for his hospitality on my birthday!

Agree with other comments, it’s a high tech room. But um.. I’m still lost. 😂 Great for a groups without kids or parents 😝

I enjoyed the cloud puzzle and eye puzzle, thought it had a good set, but was not a fan of what I felt was an overuse of technology. I still recommend it and my wife and son definitely enjoyed it far more than I did.

this is more of your traditional escape room, in terms of the theme, and some of the puzzles, although the puzzle themselves were quite unique. Lots of interesting and more tech than mechanical and locks. I really enjoyed the flow.
A nice flow. Good puzzles without anything that was hard to get to. Some quite unique
You break into a house that has AI. From the outside yard to the inside, the environment felt spot-on
