The Last of Us

What a pleasant surprise! This horror game felt the most different from the others in Athens. It didn't have a very big set, but instead a detailed one. The tech was a bit more advanced than just pressing the right order of buttons. The intensity was slowly ramping up instead of jumping at you at the entrance door, and the theme was something I hadn't seen yet. Over all, this room just sat right with me, even though I personally can not care less about the series or the video game. It is a bit more physical, with some running being expected from the players. But the actors do adapt. I would very much recommend this game as a palate cleanser from all the creepy girls and menacing / abusive men.

I enjoyed this experience. It's an adventure, cat and mouse feeling experience. Get ready to break a sweat as you play. It is my understanding that we are one of the early English teams for this room. Things to know for English players, as of May 23, 2026: -- the audio cut scenes are only in Greek. We were told there was no game material in the cut scenes, so not to worry about not understanding the audio tracks. However, this left us feeling like we were missing plot progression, and the emotional journey we could be having in this experience. -- I had not played the video game or watched the tv show, so I had no context for this room. Given the Greek soundtracks, I found it incredibly helpful that my teammates (both had played the video game) briefed me on some world building basics (who are the Fireflies? Who's Ellie? Why are people turning into zombies?). I hope in the future, the owners will make enough money to produce the English tracks, so players can enjoy the full experience without needing to do homework ahead of time.

Currently one of the best escape rooms in Athens. The room design and the sound & light setup are absolutely outstanding. The balance between puzzle-solving and being “hunted” is perfectly executed. The story is beautifully brought to life, and we especially loved the surprising ending. Bonus point: it’s one of the few rooms that is not set in a fantasy, mystery, or demon-themed world. A must-play!
