Wild, Wilder West - The Robbery of Vulture Valley

There is soooo much to love in this game! It's a sumptuous and immersive set, with props that are fun to handle and interact with. The quality of the decor cannot be beat (and it doesn't hurt that it's still very new!). We were a group of two and finished this room with over 21 minutes left, and were absolutely hungry for more, more, more. The flow of the puzzles was sublime, with exquisite mapping that had us feeling like geniuses every time we got something correct. We just wanted MORE. More puzzles, specifically. Sidenote, as mentioned in the details, for the first time in the history of a 60 to Escape game, the GM was absolutely apathetic. Not a morsel of interest or kindness or even... personality. I don't expect too much conversation, but maybe a smidgen? They actually said "if you have questions, they can answer them at the front desk" and we were just...dismissed. So unusual for this company, and extra unfortunate because I think they were training another employee and it would be a shame for that dismissive treatment to proliferate.

Our game-master, Cody, was polite. I enjoyed all the games. I believe I would rank the games as follows: Jurassic Outpost Lockbuster Video Cheesie’s Pizza Mystery Manor Magic Heist Arctic Expedition Midnight Heist Robbery of Vulture Valley We also had fun playing Putt Portal Mystery Golf.

We did this room after completing the villain version of the same room. I really like the concept of two different stories that take place with unique puzzles utilizing the same space, and I thought it was clever how the room and puzzles are utilized to make that possible. I just enjoyed the villains version a lot more. I think this one might have been developed second because it has a lot fewer puzzles, and I found a lot of them very easy to be honest. We escaped this room faster than I think I've escaped any room in the recent past. We were counting the puzzles and comparing the number to the villains version, and I just think that one had more and the ones it did have were more involved. There are some clever ones in this one, especially one at the start, as well. I also just love this company. I wish there was more in this version of the room to really make it comparable, but the nice thing is that you can do the villains version to really get this room at its best.

Yeehaw, very impressive game as to be expected from 60 to Escape! The room itself is solid and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t even like Western themed rooms. The flow, set, and puzzles were great. But what really makes this room potentially remarkable is that you can replay it from a different perspective to get a wholly new experience. We played as the good guys to solve the mystery of the robbers, but according to the GM, we can come back to play the robbers’ version and have different puzzles, story, and even areas within the room. We’ll have to do the other room to confirm, but I’ll list if it’s different in my review for the other room. The only downside of this is we were confused by puzzle elements left for the other perspective that were not for us. But otherwise, this is a wild, wilder time, y’all!

I like this new edition at one of our favorite escape rooms - and the first time we ever did a western themed room. The puzzles were very well themed to the room - we played the day side as the sheriffs. Some unique puzzles and others conceptually done before but in a new way and on theme. And for the first time ever I’ve seen, we can go back and play again but as the bandits!
