Space Team One

I’m happy they updated some of the puzzles from Pandorum. It made the game much more enjoyable instead of feeling like I was just looking at a spreadsheet from the previous game. The game master also seemed much more familiar with the puzzles in the last room, which made a big difference. Overall, it’s a huge improvement! There’s still room for refinement, but it’s definitely a lot better than it was before.

Easily the best game here and by far the hardest of the bunch. This is a big improvement over the older Pandorum (which feels about 50% different - enough to rightfully call it a new game), but it's still a little rough around the edges and needs some tweaking before it's great. We ended up getting an extra 25 minutes of time because the GM forgot give us flashlights until 15 minutes in (required for the first room), and the final puzzle broke on us and the GM didnt know how to solve it - we were on the final puzzle for 20 minutes trying to figure it out, but ultimately the GM just gave us the final code (we assume the puzzle wasn't working). Biggest tip: hit the ground running in the first room because it is deceptively large and you will likely need lots of hints if you don't hustle ans bring your A game.

The experience was pretty similar to the game the replaced this with - same sets, some of the same puzzles. While they were in “soft opening” we had a broken puzzle, one puzzle that literally was just a time suck (which I hate), and just overall some of the logic to get the answers just did not make sense or flow. We had 2 people which made some it harder with the amount of puzzles but we did get out. It definitely looks like a repurposed room, with the same set pieces as the old game, some puzzles changed, and just overall not our favorite game there.

Very fun room - super enjoyable Fun, atmospheric room. Very “alien” vibes for this space room Go into this room understanding this location has very home brew builds which offer strong stories, fun puzzles and good set design. This is their space room which is newly repuzzled and it’s a fun game This played more as a first gen room but it’s still very enjoyable. Good puzzles and puzzling, fun variety of challenges to tackle and the story carried throughout the experience — this was just fun (did I say it was fun … maybe a few times). lol Not my favorite room here but I certainly would recommend it (CSI and Neverland were my favorites) This room plays best with 3-4 but we finished with two (we used nudges to help us finish as this has a high volume of tasks to tackle) If you haven’t been here before it’s really a great spot. They have a lovely bar and fun rooms; great way to spend a weekend

The game was just bad. This is the exact same set design as the old Pandorum game that was there before. This company is known for closing down games and reopening them with a different name. But the set is never changed and the puzzles are just laminated pieces of paper with new lock boxes. Very low budget and unsatisfying puzzles and flow. The venue has gone steadily down hill over the years and the games keep getting worse unfortunately. This is a great location and they have so much space. So it is sad to see games like this being added after so many years of being open.
