34 escape rooms
The game was okay. There were too many puzzles and there was no clear objective. It felt like our goal was to solve all the puzzles until all locks were open instead of solving puzzles to achieve an objective. The gamemaster said that no one has completed the room in the allotted time before, which tells me there are too many puzzles and/or the game does not flow well.
Gameplay
There were several concurrent puzzles but there was no connection to the barrier you needed to pass. When we solved a clue, we had to attempt that code on many locks in order to progress through the game. The clues seemed unrelated to the puzzles.
Atmosphere
Set was done well, and immersive. Jump scares were appropriate for the game.
Customer service
Our gamemaster, Mia, gave several hints for puzzles we already solved. She seemed distracted or like she was running two games at once causing her to give the wrong hint, or a delay in giving hints. Separately, I got a text on my drive home soliciting a tip. I feel it would be more appropriate to have a QR code available to scan if someone is inclined to tip, but texting the customer after they have left seemed in poor taste.

No
Story
The story seemed secondary to the escape room. It felt like we were solving each puzzle until we got to no more puzzles, not solving puzzles to achieve an objective.
Difficulty
Expert
The game master said she has not seen anyone complete the room in the 60 minute limit since she has been a gamemaster for it. This points to the room being too challenging or there are too many puzzles.

The TV to play the intro video and display the countdown timer did not work when the game started. We asked the gamemaster if she could pause the game while it was fixed, but she said she didn’t know how to pause the game to fix the TV. Additionally, the fashlight battery was dying and was not useable at the game start. Gamemaster had to bring in a new flashlight.
