The Wizard Chambers

Fun especially if you're into Harry Potter.

Our regular twosome team tried this room on a whim. It was generally a good room. Theming was very good and the puzzles mostly made sense. Not too hard a room, but a few potentially tricky sections. The beginning of the room was nice. A few escape room “rules” were not followed by the game designers. For example, some things looked like very obvious puzzles but were not – I won’t give away what this was here – and the GM had to step in to tell us this was just decorative while we were busy “solving” this. The final lock mechanism to actually exit the room was disappointing. It was probably manually triggered, I think, and it took about 5-10 seconds for something to happen, by which time we thought we’d done something wrong and had moved on to look for something else.

A solid traditional room with a wizardry theme. There was nothing that really stood out in terms of design, puzzles or aesthetics, but it was a fun and challenging time nonetheless. Starting to show signs of wear and tear, and some of the puzzles would have benefitted with stronger signposting, as it was sometimes hard to tell which puzzle went with which lock. Also, the final box lock unfortunately malfunctioned and was the very first thing I opened when I entered the room, so the GM had to come in and fix it.

Decent escape room with multiple rooms and good flow. Linear clues with simple mechanics - would recommend for those newer to escape rooms if they are looking to get into them. Very fun.

We completed the room with two people. Aesthetically the room was very good with several varying puzzles types. The puzzles flowed well and it was a bit on the easy side.

Completed with 6 people. A fun room with a lot of interesting puzzles, gameplay flowed well and everyone had something to do. Mostly traditional padlocks and number locks.

Really good room, great puzzles good staff. Highly reccomend.
