O'Bannion's Safe

Fun room, with some good surprises, though it felt and looked worn down. There is one awesome and wonderful piece of tech that basically screamed Stewie from Family Guy. GM Joey was great and very enthusiastic and helpful is our escape. He also came in during a mechanical puzzle that we just couldn’t get. Puzzles and flow are solid. We finished as a team of 2, but it’s certainly gonna be hard for most groups. Escape rate is really low. We’re lucky we were… Safe.

Neat twist on gangster/mystery. Some common elements but also some unique elements in the puzzles and rooms.

We loved this room! We did Wong’s Chinese yesterday with friends, and this one today with just us. Joey is a great game master and we were fortunate to have him for both rooms. This room is a bit of a challenge for two people, mainly because of all the things you have to do, but still so much fun with just the two of us. I would recommend 3 or 4 people for it. There’s a nice surprise in the room as well.

I think the room improved quite a bit as you go through it, but initially, I was pretty disappointed because the props felt dated and the puzzles simplistic. The ending is much stronger than the beginning

Loved the game and they accommodated just two of us playing. I would put this game in our top ten games we have played.

Enjoyed the room and appreciate the physical design. But the puzzles don’t flow well and the story is disjointed as well. But, as with all Perfect Escape games, the design is first rate and there’s a lot of innovative ideas here. Didn’t have a great GM experience, which didn’t help.

This was a fun, classic room with some neat twists. Some of the puzzles were well worn, but overall it didn’t detract much from the gameplay. There were some puzzles that could be bypassed which was not one of my favorite aspects.
