“But afterwards there occurred violent earthquakes and floods; and in a single day and night of misfortune all your warlike men in a body sank into the earth, and the island of Atlantis in like manner disappeared in the depths of the sea.” - Plato Your team has been working for nearly a decade chasing the legends of the lost city of Atlantis. Most have called you crazy, but the chance to end their jeering has finally come. The same phenomenon that pulled the entire island of Atlantis down to the bottom of the ocean has occurred once more, and to the shock of the entire scientific world, it brought part of the island back to the surface! However, this situation is temporary. By all estimates, the earth will right itself in just sixty minutes, giving your team one chance to gain access to the ruined city and come out with its treasure. You have sixty minutes to find a way into the city, discover its treasure, and get out before Atlantis is lost to the bottom of the ocean again... taking you along with it.

I am so torn with this game. There are some great elements and some awful ones. The environment is probably the best that PanIQ has to offer, and there are no locks. Some of the puzzles are well-clued and well-designed, and quite fun in general, while others are impossible to solve without clues- there is one puzzle in particular that the game master admitted no one can solve without help. Still a game worth playing, it falls a bit behind the Red Wire and is definitely better than Cartel Crackdown and Insane Asylum. Like everything else at PanIQ… go play this if you’ve done all of the better Boston games already.

Gameplay

Puzzles were either well-made and well-clued or impossible to figure out without clues.

Atmosphere

Second room was particularly good.

The room was very difficult. The mechanics of the room and room tops were amazing. The puzzles in the second room were near impossible to figure out and all parallel play so not designed for 2 people.

We enjoyed the theme. Some puzzles were obscure, the rooms had several red herrings, and the story didn’t flow well. Kinda typical, but made for a clunky experience. Overall, meh.

Gameplay

Fun, not super novel, several puzzles were kinda janky. All good ideas for puzzles, not particularly well executed.

Story

Meh. Again fun idea, but the story was a bit forced and stilted.

Expert

I dunno. It felt “expert” hard due to implementation. Some things required physical force…always a no-no in escape rooms.

Fun room, great set. After having completed all PanIQ rooms, I will say they’re not my favorite but not bad at all either. We had fun solving all the puzzles in Atlantis and found the secret treasure with 4 minutes to spare

As usual with PanIQ rooms it looks fantastic. Puzzles can be a little vague, some feel designed for brute force solutions over providing the information needed to solve it otherwise. This room had no locks or keys, all things automatically triggered, but some didn't trigger the first time and need to be fiddled with. There is a musical clue, which while annoyingly repeating until you solve it isn't clear enough to hear. GM also comes in very quiet and hard to hear over background sounds. Similar with audio instructions can me hard to hear/understand. Puzzles are varied and interesting. Some have obviously been changed over time as things broke. Overall it is a fun game, but be prepared to ask for more hints than you would at other rooms in the area. Mostly because of your inability to hear a clue or something not activating the first time. GM was nice and seemed to fully understand the challenges.

Was a very well decorated room, but if you are a traditional escape room lover- this wouldn’t be your top pick.

Gameplay

Not your typical escape room- things didn’t seem to make sense and you could really do things in any order

Atmosphere

The effects were incredible and the room decor was on point

Customer service

The staff here is great

This was our first time going to PanIQ (it appeared to have good Google reviews). The room feels very amusement parkish, which at first was exciting since initially it felt immersive with visuals. They lean heavily into technology for the puzzles, many with built in timers that made it very frustrating since the room has very poor lighting and if you don’t solve it within the timer it resets. The hints were way too much information, which can ruin the puzzles. Things don’t stand out enough in the room for triggered events, so at times you don’t even realize you solved a puzzle. Some puzzles are slow to trigger, so if you’re trying to move quick, you might unsolved what was actually solved.

Gameplay

The puzzles were ok, but some didn’t feel too well connected. They didn’t always trigger when solved, so we needed to perform the same action multiple times. Some did trigger but had no real indicator it did.

Atmosphere

The room when we first walked in was visually great, the speakers were not well placed and very quiet.

Customer service

The staff was nice, but I think the GMs manager multiple rooms. When we asked for hints, they told us the answer to the puzzle instead of helping us find what we weren’t noticing. Most places try to guide you with hints without telling you flat out.
