The Hatter's hat's hat is needed so that the hat of the hatter can control the hatter when wearing his hat but the hat of the hatter's hat is where the power of the hatter's hat is at. Without his hat, the hatter's hat is powerless and the hatter with or without his hat will be himself if the hatter's hat's hat is taken away. You are needed to help Alice find the hatter's hat's hat so that the hatter can be himself again...

I loved the decor; the atmosphere really captured the crazy world of Alice in Wonderland. We managed to solve it, but if it had been just a few minutes longer, we wouldn't have made it! The puzzles really gave us a workout—it was a total hit with me!

This is a tough call to rate. The props, when they exist, are great - I've played a couple Alice games, and I think this one felt the most "Alice"-y. However, the first area feels a little empty. Puzzles were the weak point of the room. I wish puzzle signposting was better, but puzzles were fine once we got on track. An early puzzle slowly dribbled relevant information, which could be frustrating if it's the only thing left; it was also ambiguous about what was relevant. A puzzle about two thirds of the way through that seems like you have one chance to get the relevant information; if you miss it, you'll need to take a hint to recover, which didn't feel great either. Audio levels were a bit of a problem - some sound effects were oddly loud, while some dialog wasn't loud enough. Overall, I think the great props outweighed the negatives I mentioned, but I could see a reasonable person disagreeing. I think it might come down to how much you like an Alice theme - if it doesn't do anything for you, there are probably better rooms.

We played this game with two adults and two children aged 9 and 12, and I also had my eight-month-old baby in a front baby carrier. We enjoyed the variety of puzzles that combined tech elements with some traditional lock-and-key challenges. However, on two occasions, even though we had the correct solution, the mechanisms wouldn’t unlock. We had to call our game master, who confirmed we were correct and was able to unlock them remotely for us. This room was likely built several years ago and was surely very impressive at the time. Today, it feels like it could use a little update. However, that didn’t stop us from enjoying the immersive experience. At times, we also found some sounds to be a bit too loud. Nothing was broken, but there were two puzzles whose mechanisms didn’t unlock even after the sequence had been performed correctly.

No actors, but there is an interesting way to communicate with the game master other than the old traditional walkie-talkie.

At one point, with my 8-month-old baby in a baby carrier, it was impossible to go any further. The game master kindly came to help me get past the “obstacle.”

One of the best sets I've ever seen—I was really impressed by how well it stayed true to the theme, and we had a lot of fun just immersing ourselves in Alice's world. It's perfect for families if you want to entertain everyone.

More unique room, though definitely showing its age. Many of the props and decor are damaged. They attempted to make it more of a mind bending set of puzzles than logic based. They are still pretty logic based just more vague hints. One musical clue it is almost impossible to tell the difference between the tones (if there even is one). Lots of mirrors used (one is a mirror into a mirror making it hard to see). There is a video with a much longer than needed (to the point of frustration) time between loops. But mostly there is damaged foam, magnets that have lost their power, trying to see something in a dark space, and inserting a small item into something that looks like it might get stuck, and of course a floor that was pealing up. Ended up needing a lot more clues than I really should have. And a lot seemed to be automated or improperly reset. Needed to complete two connected puzzles to get the final key to one part, likely because another part wasn't properly reset and opened on its own. Everything appears to be manually triggered by the GM (I admit it saves money on sensors, and our GM was definitely paying attention most of the time though some hints started multiple steps back from where we were). Multiple things pointed to this, including almost completing something and it being triggered before we did.

Not super hard, just vague on what to do, and some puzzles are quick while others require an annoying amount of steps to complete with nothing to write down notes on.

GM pretends to be a character (statue in the room) but basically still voice from god.

Not great for those with impairments. Need to take stairs to get to the room, and some other climbing is involved. Need decent vision to see distant items in mirrors. Need to hear for a music clue.

Ugh, unfortunately, this was definitely not the best gaming experience I’ve ever had. It was the first time I’d taken my dad to an escape room, and he didn’t want to do it again afterward—everything was broken, and the game master didn’t seem interested in being there… just mediocre, but above all: disappointing. I don’t recommend games that seem to have been neglected.

Beautiful decor and a super fun experience! Getting to interact with a character the entire game was something that added to the experience.

Unfortunately this game was a bit of a miss for us. While the decor is fun, we had some issues with the puzzles, and were left feeling underwhelmed.

First visit to Escaparium Dorval (I usually go to the Laval location). A terrible experience. The GM seemed a bit out of it. We asked him for clues, but he didn’t respond. We had to ask for his attention three or four times in a row before he’d answer. On top of that, his responses to our requests for clues were inconsistent. He gave us answers to puzzles we had already solved. A padlock was defective, and the company knows it. They sent someone to open it when they realized we couldn’t unlock it even with the right combination (we had to enter the correct combination at least 2–3 times before they noticed). Later, in another part of the game, other mechanisms were also faulty. That kind of dampens the excitement of the gameplay. For these reasons, we don’t really feel like going to the Dorval location anymore.

There were a lot of faulty mechanisms and a padlock that wouldn't open even though we had the right combination. That slowed us down a lot.
