A fantastic room with fabulous theming and an array of high-tech puzzles and media. Not very difficult but still requires a bit of effort! Great for families, younger players, and beginners.

Overall a good room. Clean puzzles that were very easy for anyone who has experience doing escape rooms. Not an expert level room. Good for beginners.

The Lost Shipwreck is another example of Crypto Escape Games prolific ability to design character driven games with unique central mechanics. In this game, a reoccurring element of gameplay both structured the narrative and made for a wonderful interface for information delivery. Thus, while in previous Crypto Games the puzzles revolved around a central idea, in this case the puzzles are much more variable - which works great for such an adventurous setting. Anchored yet again by a pair of lovable characters brought to life, The Lost Shipwreck more than many other games feels like an immersive storybook, surprisingly heartwarming yet not lacking in excitement. In particular, the narrator stands out as a very funny and cute addition to the theming (and a very well designed animatronic). In terms of puzzle design, like I said, there’s something for everyone. A musical puzzle was among the most accessible implantations of tone-based challenges I’ve seen (this way more fun for those less audibly inclined). The puzzles tied themselves well to the set and narrative and were also highly creative. Similar to Crypto’s other games, there’s a sort of minimalism running through the structure of puzzles, which don’t involve a ton of prop to prop interactions but instead involve direct manipulation of the set. As a result, there’s next to no noise and a clear through-line to game flow. If you are on the game’s wavelength (which most enthusiasts should be), it is a breeze, which is really the only knock I would have against a few of crypto’s games (I want more of their wonderful worlds!). In spite of our fairly fluid play through, there’s a monumentality to the interactions and the effects - one moment in particular I think will leave a lot of players stunned. Just inhabiting the set is already incredibly with the fantastic pirate ship facade and thematic construction, but with a few key moments of special effects, the world feels alive in the best way. The set is detailed but also sleek, ensuring very limited distraction. Overall, Crypto’s games would appeal to pretty much any demographic - and enthusiast can marvel at the beautiful simplicity and narrative techniques, and beginners will appreciate the smooth flow and fun atmosphere. Both will undeniably leave smiling.
The puzzles were thematic, environmental, and extremely elegant - there was practically no noise.
While the game may seem humble initially, there’s some awe-inspiring sets and effects.

A satisfying game with great theming and intuitive puzzle design. I would have personally preferred to have a few more tactile elements. However you can’t knock how sleek and professional the whole game is.

The Lost Shipwreck is another outstanding game from Crypto Escapes. Not only do they nail the pirate-themed set design, but their puzzles are m interesting and kept our group of 3 busy the whole way through. One multi-stage puzzle later in the game was a ton of fun for our group to navigate. Our group was smiling throughout. One particular room transition blew our team away. I definitely recommend driving up to Crypto Escapes to play this game to anyone in the Toronto area.

There are a ton of colour puzzles in this room that were difficult for me as a colourblind person, however, I still enjoyed it.

The room was very immersive and the theming was top quality. It was really high tech and beautiful! They also had technical elements I haven’t really seen in other escape rooms. However it was really easy. The puzzles were really straight forward - there was almost no ambiguity in what you needed to do. We finished with a lot of time to spare.

I enjoyed the first puzzle in this escape room. The set design as always is very incredible at this location. This one was very linear.

Loved the atmosphere and tech in this room. It is a very straightforward room so I wouldn’t trust their “escape rates” as a source of difficulty. I think they could really do with increasing the difficulty of their puzzles in most of their rooms to have a more satisfying experience (this also goes for Below Zero, and Extraction). But I definitely would take newcomers to this room as it’s very impressive as a room

We saw incredible reviews/awards and drove here for the game and booked the hardest room (this one) . the good: beautiful set and interesting electronics and special effects. But this game was painstakingly easy. I would not recommend this facility for anyone who enjoys any type of challenge. This would be an amazing place for anyone who has never been to an escape room before (beginners)
