Mogollon Monster: Scouting for Arizona's Bigfoot

1st time visiting The Nemesis Club (TNC) and it lived up to the high expectations I read about. Entering through Soda Jerk and delivering the secret password, and then entering TNC through the hidden entrance was a fun experience. While in the waiting area for our game to start, we walked around and found some cool detailed decorations in the areas…the vibe told me that TNC was going to be great. We played Mogollon Monster, and immediately was immersed into the story with all the sound effects, the warning preparations from Ranger Nick, and how the game is started. I like doing physical skill puzzles so having this right off the bat was a fun surprise. The set being a campground was really well done and large. Be prepared to get a little dirty/sandy from the environment as the campground provides a real experience. Sets in all areas were great, and I especially enjoyed the outhouse and some surprises in there. Puzzles were really fun and for the most part straightforward. Loved being in the RV at the end doing several different tasks, especially when the monster arrives at camp and the RV turns into a simulator experience. Customer service and GM’ing was good, but nothing above and beyond, so a little disappointed with the lack of enthusiasm. Overall, MM had great sets, puzzles, and tech as everything was really well done. We had a really fun time and will be back to play their other games when we return to Arizona.

This escape room had many great puzzles that fit the theme of the room so well. Many electronic special effects and fun surprises. 100 percent loved and highly recommend.

One of the best rooms I have ever been in. Incredibly engaging and unique puzzles, with several surprises. And there is a malt shop in front of what’s not to love!

This is, by far, the best facility I’ve visited (out of 47). The soda fountain front and lobby decor is incredible. I’ve never felt so immersed by just the lobby! The room itself was a blast from our excellent guide intro by Ryan through to the very end. There was so much here to do that everyone in our group of five was busy the entire time. We barely escaped in time (got hung up on one of the locks) but it made for an exciting final few seconds! Would definitely recommend and if I was in town longer I would love to do their other two rooms.

If you’re looking for an incredible room in phoenix this is the place to try!

The story is good and the puzzles are great after the fact. My biggest complaint is you fundamentally just cannot see half the things in this room without these big clunky lantern lights that you have to carry around. So you’re basically solving puzzles one handed because you can’t see anything without holding the lantern light. A lot of puzzle mechanics also include finding really well hidden objects which is just completely unfair to expect you to do in the dark. I would have killed for a smaller flashlight or just better ambient light in general. It would have been perfectly thematic to have a beginning puzzle to turn the camp lights on or start a campfire. But as is, it’s just a permanent extreme difficulty factor that is less immersive and more frustrating than anything. But I did appreciate the special effects and storyline. I just would have had a 9/10 experience rather than a 6 or 7/10 experience with this room if I could see more easily.

We are experienced escapers and LOVED this room. So many unique puzzles and wonderful tech. We loved our camp counselor Rachel and loved the entire vibe and set up of the venue. I hope we can do other rooms here when we come back to visit Phoenix again. There is a reason this room has won so many awards. Treat yourself to this experience!

Fantastic! Everything that an escape room experience should be. Why this room rocks: - The atmosphere from the moment you enter the room is truly immersive. - The GM was fantastic and did a great job of getting you into the spirit of the room. - The puzzles blended so well into the atmosphere of the room that they didn’t feel as contrived as puzzles normally do in an escape room. They felt pretty natural for the environment. - The nudges we received were so subtle, which I appreciated. I’m sure if we’d needed more help a direct clue would have been given, but our GM was awesome at subtlety drawing your attention to something you may have missed without using any words. This felt like a place where others should learn how to be a GM, haha. - The theme is unique amongst escape rooms and incorporates the local Arizona folklore as a theme, which I really appreciated. - Several humorous moments sprinkled throughout. I don’t know how you could do this room and not leave with a smile. - The entire vibe of the Nemesis Club was amazing, including a super unique lounge to discover more surprises in afterwards if you choose to enjoy some of the Soda Jerk ice cream. This wasn’t there the last time I did a room here and I loved it! In case the TERPECA awards weren’t enough to convince you that you need to go do all the rooms here, I’ll add to the voices urging you to go enjoy the experiences here.

Ranger Rachel was our GM for our camping extravaganza and she did a phenomenal job immersing us in the story. Felt so real! Completed this room with 4 of us, each of us having done about 40 escape rooms. This was our first game at the Nemesis Club and we were blown away. Let’s just say our amazing experience started before our room even began. Lots of memories and laughs from our time here! Would 100% recommend the Nemesis Club!!!
