An older style room with some memorable set pieces and more of a story than most escape rooms. Puzzles were decent and felt somewhat high density. There's an optional subquest to find hidden items (we missed some, but in retrospect felt fair) with a(n unclear) point of no return, which is a tension I don't love (completionist tendencies vs. wanting to keep the game moving).

Story
I would have preferred the story to have been told more through gameplay rather than expository dumps, but I also appreciate that there was actually a reasonable story involved at all

The Inkeeper's Son was a joy to experience and exceeded our expectations, surprising us with the variety of its puzzles, fantastic game mastering, fun vibes and all the *extra* things it offered in the game, whether it was the detailed set and props, its puzzles, the thoughtful designs and humour weaved into the game. While it is older, and showing some wear, overall, thanks to our game master, we found it to be an excellent game that is worth playing still with some nice surprises.

Dragonborn was a solid older game. Definitely showing wear, but still some clever sets and puzzles. Lots of locks. Fun actor interactions and a clever bartering system. Some props were heavily worn down, and for me some actor interactions felt flat. But a certain heart and soul made the experience. The Innkeeper's Son is being replaced in the near future, and I’ll be sad to see such a game go. Everyone stands on the shoulders of giants, and without this game, many such fantastic experiences would not exist.

We really enjoyed this one, and I really land somewhere in between "liked" and "loved." The set is beautiful, and you feel you are in an Inn, but I felt some of the room has not aged well over the years. There was even one lock that was a small, modern safe (that could perhaps be changed to fit the story a bit better). The riddles are varied, and even one fun role play that I really enjoyed. The story is compelling and well integrated. There is even a mini-task that if you complete gives you a prize (but we did not complete it unfortunately). Definitely worth a visit!

Ambientación muy trabajada y con muchos puzzles! Tiene cosas muy modernas pero sin perder la esencia clásica de muchos candados. Hay interacción con NPC que le da un plus a la experiencia

Clearly a must-play: we loved the NPC interaction throughout the game, the storyline was compelling, and the jaw-dropping sets delivered surprise after surprise. Many of the puzzles were wonderfully crafted physical puzzles, some of which required cooperation. Others involved really fun role-playing with the NPCs. And yet it bothered me that there were so many combination locks throughout the game (more than one time the GM would tell us "Right code, wrong lock!"), as well as a standard-issue hotel safe with a piece of paper taped next to it to make the code more interesting; at times it felt like we were playing a gen-1 game.
